Would RecommendLike: The nice smooth finish when filling gaps around the house when the paper-based (?) product that was in there decomposed to nothing is accomplished by squeezing in the self-leveling sealant by Sika...but the gaps are deep. I fill them with sand to about 1" from the top of the gap and then jam the "backer rod" (what a strange name) to get within about a quarter inch from top of gap and then finish with the self-leveling sealant. A lot of tedious work but satisfying.
