I wanted 3 of the Shop Fox D4666 mobile bases but some where in the process I wound up with 3 of the D2057A's. Being 74 and bending over to screw in or out the lock down screws is a deal breaker for me. I have a D4666 on my Powermatic 66 and it is great. Love it so much that I wanted to put my 2 drill press's and my Delta 14" band saw on a mobile base also. So I bought 3 more of the D4666's or so I thought. Having to bend over to raise or lower the wheels to move the equipment is not worth ...

Good but....
Would RecommendDurable, Excellent quality. Floor stoppers are very poorly designed. They are connected via low power magnets and constantly fall out.

Smooth
Excellent operation - got it for my new drum sander, also got the rail extenders as needed - next I'm going to get another one for my table saw !

Decent mobility base for the money
I bought this for the 14" bandsaw that I bought at the same time. This base is decent, but not as heavy-duty as one I bought a year ago of another brand. Instead of pedal breaks, the ShopFox relies on pads screwed down with a toggle. The pads are held in place with magnets, but whenever I've had to lift the base up to set it under the bandsaw, the pads fall out. That's not a deal-breaker, but nor is it convenient.

Sturdy low profile base
Got it for my bandsaw and it serves the purpose. There is a little bit of play in the front feet so there is a very slight amount of wiggle back and forth. Not significant, but if you need an absolutely solid base with no movement, this is not the one for you. Assembly is a pain since they require you to put on the lock nuts unthreaded nylon side first. You must thread them on fully the 'right' way and then remove put them on the other way once the threads are cut.
