Missing rotating plate
Would RecommendThe Sharp 2489ESD is a very good microwave. The only objection I have with it is that it doesn’t have a rotating plate like most microwaves have. Since it’s missing this feature the food doesn’t get hot evenly across.

Would RecommendI have been using this microwave since our remodel was finished on January 23 2025. So far I love it. And am pleasantly surprised at how well it works. I am hoping it will work for a long time.

Good product for 2 years, then sparks fly
Would Not RecommendThis product worked well for us over the last two years and looks good. Then last week we started smelling burning and noticed sparks flying in the back of the microwave. Even with nothing in the microwave at all, this still happens.

Love our microwave drawer!
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are not early adopters of new technology so converting from an over-the-cooktop microwave to the drawer was big! And we love it. It’s easy to use. Stays cleaner because removing the heated containers from the drawer is easier and safer than from an eye level microwave.

Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We previously had the traditional door style microwave. When we underwent a home remodel we decided to try Sharp's microwave drawer. Can't tell you how wonderful this item is. The drawer feature makes access much easier. Also, there is no rotating turntable inside to clean and it heats extremely well. Highly recommend. Love it!!!

Bad APP and APP connection
I had the microwave for 10months. The microwave its self is good, the APP and Wifi Connection sucks. Looses connection too often, is hard to reconnect and APP often will not work because it says it is use which it is not. Doesn't allow you to close drawer, just an open drawer. Would be great to get ride or give option to remove confirmation on action. If I make a mistake I will cancel it.
