This strap holds the weed eater so it's not hard to handle especially for shorter people. We have used other kinds in the past but, this one is way better. I hope it will help in making your life easier too as it has ours.

little price carries big load

80 volt trimmer weighs a lot. this should have been included as part of the purchase.

I just bought this Shakespeare Universal Trimmer Strap today, July 4, 2017 after seeing it online. I thought for $7.97 it was worth the loss if it was junk; but not only is it not junk, it was on sale for $5.97. Not for serious use

The strap is Ok, but the thin sheet metal clamp bends easily and so it slides on the trimmer shaft, so you keep tightening it and it keeps bending until the screw strips Any money saved will be used up in hassle, better off buying something better quality / more expensive

Universal Trimmer Strap

If one wants to over come the strap problem and the plastic part that sets upon the shoulder, then I suggest going to a leather shop and having a piece of imitation sheep-skin sewn into the part that your strap area that fits on your shoulder, it will be much more comfortable and there is more than enough padding to accommodate the weight of the any trimmer on your shoulder. Life Saver

Easily bolted onto trimmer, although my trimmer was to thick to mount strap next to motor, however the added support was a life saver after the hours of trimming I had to do.

Good Product @ Fair Price

This strap meets my needs/expectations but I wish the shoulder pad actually had some type of soft padding...all it has is a rubber slide on pad that doesn't have any type of padding except for the rubber it's made from.

This strap is ok, like any thing in this application you have to play with the adjustment to get it right. But think that it would be more comfortable if it was wider. Because after long usage ( time period ) it wants to cut in a little bit, so you are moving it around to get comfortable.

Big Help

The shoulder strap is a big help for me,especially since I broke my right shoulder in 2004. This helps to relieve alot of the pressure weight while carrying around and during the trimming work. Any help relief from yard work aches and pains is a blessing.

Bought this for my son who is wanting to help more outside the house. My weed eater did not have a strap and this is the he chose to do. The strap was easy to install and adjusted easy for my son. Just like a third arm

I guess you get what you pay for. My weed wacker is pretty heavy and the little pad that is suppose to give you more support on your shoulder is useless. Like I said, you get what you pay for.

Easy on the Shoulder

I bought this to relieve some of the weight that was bearing on my hands when trimming. It works great. Very comfortable on my shoulder and it took some of the weight from my hands and forearms.
