Make sure you don't take off too much trimmer hw!

I was very excited to get this and try it out. The instructions said to remove all of the hardware from the spindle of the trimmer and then install this cutter. Thinking I was following the directions, I included removing the "washer" with the splines that makes the item below it turn with the engine. Great on tall weeds

Like a hot knife thru butter on tall weeds. Not made for edging hard surfaces like driveways or fences but works 10 times better on overgrown areas than string..

Worth the price

Not the first purchase!

I originally purchased one for my Craftsman gas trimmer. It was really great until the trimmer started having a hard time to start (thanks E85). I purchased a Milwaukee string trimmer and used the stock head until the weeds got to big and needed something more robust. I still had the Craftsman trimmer, but I tossed the mounting hardware since I didn’t think I would need it. So I purchased this one. Installed on Kobalt 80

I installed it on my Kobalt 80 weed trimmer and wow what a difference. It works great and cut down heavy vegetation in the field behind my house.

Breaks Upon Contact

Cannot trim grass and weeds close to hard surfaces such as house foundations, fence post, trees, etc. The blades break upon contact with any hard surface. Trimmer line is better because less is lost when contacting hard surfaces.

Great alternative

I purchased this to replace the head on a craftsman weedeater because I couldn't figure out how to change the line properly. This has been a great alternative for me to use around the house. It cuts just as good and was simple to install.

Missing screws

I ordered this online and picked up at the store. I looked at the item briefly before leaving as I was in a hurry to move my car from the loading zone. Once I was ready to use the new weedeater (about a week or more later) that I purchased at the same time, I realized the package had been taped up, and the attachment screws were missing. Apparently, I was sold an opened and returned item. I live an hour from the store, and wasn't going that direction any time soon. Very disappointed.

Junk

Very easy to attach to trimmer. Parts were present for different types of trimmers. I used it twice on grass where mower didn't reach (edge of fence, etc.). It cut the grass OK but the plastic blades broke easily. Replacement of blades was a multi step process that involved removal of small pins and springs, which I lost one. I threw it away after that.

This product is GARBAGE

I replaced my line head with this trash, used it for 5 min, I flew off. I thought that I might not have tightened it enough, but nope, the it stripped the threads. DO NOT BUY THIS. Buy the recommended line. Using this product will VOID YOUR WARRANTY DO NOT BUY! I would give this ZERO stars if I could!

Great product

This is awesome to have cuts great totally recommend to everyone. I was so tired of breaking string all the time and having to replace or fighting it

for my craftsman

I got mine a couple of years ago. I love it that is until I hit a large rock and broke 1 of the tips. But for all of the time I've used it worked great. So I will be getting a new 1 and I sure hope it lasts just as long.

For my purpose, it is a waste money.

IMHO, it barely qualifies for 1-star. It might be good for tough grass, but broke all 3 blades when attempting to clear the smallest of twigs.
