Slick contraption! I cleared 1/4 acre of pucker brush and even some small saplings (1/2"). You stop the head from spinning by sticking a punch or screwdriver into a hole on the backside of the weedwacker head. The unit itself acts like a wrench... grab it and twist (reverse thread).

It works really great, no issue with set up, forgot to get extra ones though.

Universal fit Coarse Thread Metal Blades.

It came with different sizes of nuts and bolt to fit a male or female end for the weedeater, but they only fit coarse threads. The weedeater have has a male end with the fine threads. I didn't know until after I had to rip the packaging open. The packaging is not open friendly, so I had to cut and rip the packaging to get it out. Cut through all the brush, including the weed trees that were about a quarter-size thick. It was like a mini chainsaw. Very happy with the purchase. Also very easy to install on Black and Decker straight weedwacker.

I had to read the manual from trimmer manufacturer (Husqvarna) to learn the post had left-hand threads. Otherwise mounted first try

Not universal fit

Bought the Shakespeare Brush Cutter trimmer head at our local Lowe's. It is not universal fit at all, regardless of what the package says. None of the hex head bolts (3 different sizes) included in the package will fit the shafts of either my Troy Bilt or Bolens trimmers. Both shafts are threaded clockwise and the threading on the bolts appears to be counterclockwise. Be warned.

Works like a champ!

This product exceeded my expectations for the amount of money that was spent. It works excellent for cutting down small trees and vine growth that would normally not be able to be cut by normal string.
