Definitely locks!

I had this safe for several months never had any problems and now I cannot get it open without a struggle. Once I lock it I cannot get back open. I had to contact customer service and I was told to put the weight of my full body on my knee on the safe turn the key and hold the latch for 5 seconds in order to open it. I will say that worked but if you had someone older that could not do that They would never get back in the safe it lacks tight and without doing this procedure I cannot get it open...

Heavy

I like the safe, but again very heavy. The seal on the inside came off does not seal. Since it want seal. So no protection because of seal issue.

Good quality

I like how well it seals when closed and the capacity size.

Difficult to open

It’s a good size and sturdy for the great price but unfortunately it’s kind of hard to open and close so I’m thinking about returning it.

Safe lock failure

The lock on the safe does not work and only pushes the lid up instead of locking

Broken on arrival

The lock was broken on arrival. After further investigation I found that this is a common problem with this safe. Even if it doesn't break immediately, it breaks eventually. I wish I had known the product was this poorly constructed before buying it. I immediately returned it for a refund. One of the worst purchases I've ever made.

It's a great product

I love the security of it all. Only complaint is that it doesn't store papers 8" by 11" documents flat. Must fold or crease over.

Dont buy waste of money!

I just bought this and it is hard to open and I can not lock it! ...locking mechanism doesnt work.

Safety Deposit box for the home

Have had one for a number of years and it is perfect for storing important papers in the home instead of trying to get to a safety deposit bank especially at this time when bank access has been limited. Easily concealed but still accessible. Bought this one for my sister-in-law. Only down side is it is very heavy for an older person and does not have a handle to help in moving it.

Well made and very rugged.

I received this chest as a gift from a friend. I was amazed at how heavy and thick walled it was and then saw it had a good amount of room for it's size. I could tell right away that is of very sturdy construction. My friend felt concerned about my older, basic metal box, so he wanted me to have this. I appreciate his generosity and the quality of your product.

Will not latch properly when locking

I've worked with similar versions of this safe i the past so I felt comfortable with purchasing it. It has sat unused for a good period of time just due to not having anything needed stored during that time however when I finally needed to put some in it, not matter how hard my husband I both tried it would not latch properly to lock. Im extremely disappointed. Never had one be so difficult. Ultimately we gave up because it was so frustrating.

It would not open and close

I had to take it back because I closed and locked it then unlocked it and the latch would not work so I could not open it. Thankfully, I was testing it before actually putting anything of value inside.

Secure safe and perfect size

The safe it's perfect size, fire proof and water resistant. Inside compartment looks perfect for documents and I love that is actually a carrying case.

Terrible

I can't unlock mine cause the lock broke! I have so much things locked in there and no idea how to get it open
