What Customers Are Saying

This screen rolling tool received mixed reviews. Some found it easy to use and effective, but most reported issues. The roller wheel was too wide, making it difficult to properly insert the spline into the screen frame groove, often resulting in an incomplete or uneven installation. The included blade/knife was poorly designed and tended to tear or cut the screen incorrectly. The overall build quality was low, with many reports of parts falling off or breaking easily. For many, the tool simply did not work as expected, requiring the use of other tools to complete the job.

I've re-screened many times. I had a 6' x 8' Lanai screen to replace with flat spline. This tool looked good, but performed bad. Pretty straight forward on how to use, but it didn't get the job done for me. I wound up using the cheapie brown plastic roller which accomplished the task.

50% useful

Have used tools like this in past but with 2 wheels. One concave for pressing into grove. One convex to fully insert screen. This tool wouldn’t insert screen completely and the cutting tool was worthless, didn’t work for me.

Poor design, cheap junk

Would Not Recommend

First the blade just pulled out so I took it apart to put it back, tightened down the screw to keep it doing again and it stripped though. Then the roller is too wide to fit in the groove and it has sharp edges which cut the aluminum screen. Had go push spots in with a screw driver to hold tight and now although fixed there are many places already cut from the roller design. Just a total piece of junk

Almost perfect

Would Recommend

Worked great for what it included. Would have been better if it included the convex wheel instead of the screen cutter.

Blade not good

Would Not Recommend

I did not like the configuration on the blade. It was impossible to trim the screen after putting it in the door

Screen rolling tool

Would Recommend

The screen rolling tool served the purpose it was intended. It was much easier to work with than other cheaper screen rollers. the roller wheel is much larger than less cheaper model. However the blade that comes out of the back of the tool is a bit troublesome because it is easy to forget that it is pushed out this could lead to an mishaps and cut yourself. If the blade had some kind of spring load device to pull the blade back into the handle when released it would greatly increase safety. Oth...

Screen tight Plastic Screen Rolling Tool

Would Recommend

Bought one. Had 3 others but couldn’t find them. This is so handy with the screen trimmer on the end. Hope the other three stay hidden.

Terrible. Don’t Buy!

Would Not Recommend

The blade broke the first time I extended it out. It’s also missing a roller. A normal tool has convex and concave. This doesn’t. Therefore it won’t work on some screens without an additional tool

Great little tool

More comfortable than the cheaper tool depending on how many screens you need to do?

Good Idea, Badly Made

Would Not Recommend

I got a bad awakening when I used this to replace the screen on my door. the wheel wanted to wonder everywhere but down the track for the retainer strip, and then when I wanted to cut the excess screen the blade won't not extend correctly, after multiple times of resetting it in the handle. Can't find the receipt to return the darn thing!

Sturdily Built

Would Recommend

I bought this as it was very sturdy, and made it easier to apply pressure to the spline. However, I think the end is a little thicker than the cheaper one I have and as such is not as easy to push the spline down. It also does not have a rounded end that is used to push the screen into the channel without damaging it. As a result, for me, it made positioning the spline easy, but the installation of the spline was actually better with my two ended cheap tool.

Tool did not work for intended use

Would Not Recommend

I purchased this tool to replace the screen on a sliding screen door. Both the roller and razor end worked very poorly to fit the spline in place to secure the screen and then to cut off excess material. I ended up using other tools I had at home to complete the job. I would not purchase this tool again.
