What Customers Are Saying

This screen rolling tool received mixed reviews. Some found it easy to use and effective, but most reported issues. The roller wheel was too wide, making it difficult to properly insert the spline into the screen frame groove, often resulting in an incomplete or uneven installation. The included blade/knife was poorly designed and tended to tear or cut the screen incorrectly. The overall build quality was low, with many reports of parts falling off or breaking easily. For many, the tool simply did not work as expected, requiring the use of other tools to complete the job.

Effective screen tool. Comfortable size handle

Wasn't satisfied with the screen tool offerings at the other big box home center so tried Lowe's again. Lowe's did not let me down. This tool was a better design than others, and helped me get the job done. While it is made of plastic, it is durable enough to use, and includes a retractable hook knife blade screen cutter in the base when needed.

Roller Tool

Great tool, better than metal roller, wooden tools. You can add a lot more pressure with this one.

Terrible tool

Would Not Recommend

This is an extremely cheaply made tool that has problems with EVERY aspect of it. the roller is too thick to get the spline in after the initial roll. The hook shaped cutter is a joke. Dosent fold out properly and it comes our of its setting by simply opening it. Lowes needs to remove it from its inventory. Thank goodness they accepted the return. Do yourself a favor and just get the much less expensive double roller type.

I did one screen without it. Then bought this tool, the rest of my screens were done 3 times as fast and much tighter.

JUNK

Would Not Recommend

Roller wobbles, like trying to drive a straight line with loose front wheels on your car. The roller / wheel has excessive burrs from the plastic molding process; does NOT roll smoothly. Missing a bolt and nut next to the blade. Junk. Easier to use a straight screwdriver to install the spline.
