Triple Action Lawn Killer

I am a master gardener and used this Scotts Triple action fertilizer for the 2nd time after aerating, raking out my existing near perfect lawn. New scotts grass seed is now half filler.

New scotts seeds are all filler with half the seed. I have half an acre of lawn, been using scotts tall fescue for 10yrs. Recently they switched from having all seed in the bag to now half the amount of seed and the rest fertilizer (filler). Now my overseeding sucess is terrible. I just did a 500sq/ft section but required the whole 1750sq/ft bag to even see the seed and maybe 25% germination, terrible and expensive. Loving our lawn!

My husband loves to have a nice looking lawn but has been use to northern grasses and upkeep. We had a lot of bare spots and nasty old Bermuda in patches. I finally convinced him to try cutting it longer and use Scotts Turf builder for seeding with Scotts fescue for our Tennessee area. The lawn has never looked so good. Overseeding w/Turf Builder® Grass Seed Tall Fescue

Mixed results so far. Some seed germinated, other did not despite following directions on packaging.

Would not purchase again

Planted and watered as directed. Not much seed sprouted. None sprouted in bare areas.

Worst product i ever bought. Killed most of my grass to the point it will not grow back!! And yes i did use it as recommended!!

Garbage & Waste of $$

It is killing my new lawn. The new plants are getting white, AND I FOLLOWED THE DIRECTIONS TO THE LETTER!

Grew nothing but weeds

I bought this grass seed for our already weed free yard to Patch some spots in our yard from dogs running around it. It did not grow any grass at all but some kind of flowering weeds that were never in my yard in the first place. This now has caused even more cost and trouble. Do not use this brand!

Worked well

I used this when overseeing my lawn — 2 months later everything is lush, healthy, and no crabgrass. It killed some dandelions we had too. If anyone from Scott is reading this: can I use the remaining product as a second application of fertiliser this season? Or should I really only use it when over seeding?

Turned our lawn YELLOW and WHITE! DEAD SPOTS!

It's been about 2 weeks since overseeing and using this fertilizer and our lawn is turning yellow and completely white in some areas!!! I was sure to follow the instructions to the T and even went above and beyond (like I do every year when overseeding and fertilizing), and this is the first time anything like this has happened. Turned grass WHITE! following bag directions!

I have used Scotts regular Triple Action for 3yrs now without any issues, resulting in a good lush lawn. I over-seeded this year (after thatching and aerating) and based upon Scotts guidance, applied Triple Action Built for Seeding afterwards. I followed bag directions exactly with my Scotts Elite Rotary Spreader setting and spacing between passes. About 60-70% of my entire 1/2 acre front yard has turned WHITE!
