Great weed killer for lawn

Performs as promised

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What you want from a product is for it to perform as advertised. In this case the Scotts WeedEX with Halts did exactly as it was advertised. Easy to apply and I saw the results shortly thereafter. I recommend this product.

Healthy green

Better than combo products

With WeedEx I have gotten better results as a pre-emergence product than the products which are a combination of fertilizer and pre-emergence.

Crabgrass no more

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used Scotts lawn products for many years and tried this for the first time this year. So far, I have not seen any crabgrass developing in my lawn. I have battled crabgrass for a while, so very pleased.

Square footage coverage is overstated by 50%

This product did not cover even half or the stated square footage. I purchased a new Scott's Mini Broadcast spreader and set it to 2-1/4 as recommended and spaced my passes as directed on the bag. My lawn is 4,000 sq ft and the bag said it covers 5,000. I ran out halfway through my lawn. I had also purchased a bag of Scotts Turf Builder with Halts for 5,000 sq ft. Since I wanted to get the crab grass prevention down, I reset my spreader to the recommended settings for that product, finished ...

It does a nice job

I like this product from Scotts, it does what is says it is to do and I get good results.

Scott's is the way to go

I used this after fertilizer kicks in so not to shock the grass. Got rid of most of the weeds fairly quick.

I couldn't find this product in the store where they said it would be and so I actually purchased Scotts WeedEx, but then they sent me this review request for Halts Crabgrass & Grassy Weed Preventer. I'm guessing these two products are actually the same thing but has now been repackaged as WeedEx?
