Would RecommendIt works. This simple vertical plastic-housed rubber & metal flapper type check valve has 2 reversible 1.5 inch x 1.25 inch rubber slip joints and 4 stainless steel hose clamps. When securing to rigid PVC schedule 40 drain pipe make certain the connection is as straight as possible with minimal lateral stress or bending at the rubber-to-plastic joints. Buy a spare just in case it fails.

Would RecommendIf I were keeping my house long term I would invest in a better valve. This valve performs efficiently for now. Last year I bought the same valve and the plastic flapper that is suppose to drop and stop the water from draining back down after being pumped from the sump, failed. This caused the pump to restart about every two minutes. It's a terrible design and thought it works, its prone to failure. Would RecommendThe check valved seats and seals as it should. It is designed to work w different pipe diameters and the conversion (which I had to do) was very straight forward and easy. It seals as it should. Sounds like it is doing as it should and as advertised and it is. Unfortunately, sometimes the claimed performance is never realized - but this product does perform as advertised, is easy to convert, and meets the advertised claims nicely. Instructions easy to follow and implement as well.
