Would RecommendI absolutely love my Quantum Stylist 9960 Sewing Machine. It is easy to use and makes the most beautiful consistent stitches. The start stop button is easy to get used to and very convenient. I love the thread cutter; it saves a lot of time and thread! I look forward to using this machine for a long, long time!

Singer Quantum Stylist 9960
Would RecommendI’ve had my machine for about three weeks. Thus far it operates well. I like the minimum speed. It is very helpful when making tight, complicated turns. Operation is smooth and consistent. I am still learning its quirks and haven’t tried all of its functions. The threader doesn’t work. It looks like the little thread hook has broken off. Please add a “low bobbin” warning.

Would RecommendOverall, I like the machine. I have never been able to use the automatic thread cutter because it jams and does not cut the thread completely. There are lots of stitch options. Wish there was a cat stitch, similar to the dog one.

Would RecommendI really spent some time doing my research before purchasing this machine. I think it’s going to pay off. Just getting started on my first quilt with my new machine. The new one is light years ahead of what I’ve been using so there’s a bit of a learning curve but I already love it. Also I love that I was able to receive the bundle of extras that came with it! Wish there was a Singer dealer in Oklahoma though. Ordered it on line and received it quickly. Very pleased with my purchase!

Would Not RecommendHeight adjustment screw broke the first time I used the machine and I cannot find a local repair shop to fix the problem. Part number I need is 416401301 and I cannot find it anywhere

Would RecommendOverall very pleased with this purchase—4.5/5 stars. It’s easy to use and works beautifully, except for the needle threader (I’ve seen this on other reviews too; annoying but not a dealbreaker from me since I’m upgrading from a machine that didn’t have one at all). The first machine Singer sent was broken badly enough that I didn’t even try using it, but the process of exchanging it was fairly painless and I had a functioning machine within two weeks of originally ordering it.
