Don't overthink it. Put about a teaspoon or tablespoons on a small rag, then wipe it in. Use extra lighting so you can see where need to be rubbed in. Work quickly Do small sections at a time. it feels a bit tacky as you are applying. It will dry smooth. This is very easy. I put two coats on all sides. Poured water and it pooled beautifully!

Would RecommendNice product to work with on a unfinished butcher block top. Biggest thing I found for best results try to only apply to the cloth what you will need to make a pass from end to end of the wood. And do a return pass in the opposite direction over the previous one for good even coverage. Used an orbital sander between coats and am very happy with finished results. If I had pictures of it I would have posted them.
