Failed after 2 years

Would Not Recommend

The streaming never worked as well as the separate device we used to have. Video was choppy and always had issues with picture quality. Decided to use the smart tv and the role stream bar for the sound. That worked for about a year and now it fades in and out all the time. Didn’t even get a good 2 years out of the devise. Truly disappointed in the quality. Would not recommend.

Could be better with power off and USB C power

It works well for the features advertised. I have it hooked up to a computer monitor. It would have been nice if the streamer had a power off button so that the monitor will go to standby. I did not see a way to stop sending signal to the display. The monitor can supply USBC power so if the unit had USB-C power input, it would be one less cable for me to run.

Would Not Recommend

Worked great at first but after a fairly short while the sound became very distorted. Tried all the troubleshooting steps with no luck. The only way to use it now is to dial the bass down to it's lowest setting, Many others are posting similar problems.

Nice speaker, but cuts out while playing music

Nice speaker, but cuts out while playing music from iPhone. I have to go back into my settings to reconnect. not sure why it keeps dropping. the speaker sounds great in my apartment. deep sound with deep bass. i don't crank the volume too high, but i have read that people that raise volume high, it doesn't sound distorted. i don't think speaker is really made for ranked up volume, its loud enough and sound sweet. i've had to lower my bass, and it's better.

I love the roku streambar. What I dont't love is that it do not have the ethernet port. I always had my roku connected through the ethernet port so I would not get the buffering when watching a movie or shows on netflix.

I bought this for an ancient set up I have down in the basement. An old Sharp Aquos TV that I have with first gen HDMI inputs. Be aware that if you don’t have ARC hdmi, you’re going to have to use the optical cable provided. When I finished set up, I no longer had sound coming from my floor speakers going through an old technics receiver and to the tV with L/R audio cables. it did not last me more than a year and I had to replace it twice. the same issue happened with the replacement. right speakers sounds horrible. there is a buzzing and muffled sometimes. it. Sound will get loud and low. I do not play loud music. Disappointed because I did like how small it powerful it was. But speakers do not last.

I bought the streambar for my bedroom TV. Already have roku built into my TV. Bought this just to increase the audio output. I do have to say that it has helped a lot with being able to hear my Tv. The downside for me is unlike the roku TV itself I'll unable to connect over the air antenna for local channels. And I'm unable to connect my VCR to it. I have the roku speakers for my roku TV in the living room And I love those speakers wishing I would have bought them for the bedroom also.

The sound from the Streambar is adequate but the Roku streaming portion is not. Channels take a lot longer to load than my Ultra units. Even moving through the menus is noticeably lagging. This item is not up to the standards I’ve come to expect from Roku.

For the entire year I had this Streambar it was a fantastic value for the money. Powerful bass, clear acoustics, and a Roku Streaming stick all rolled into one device the size of an egg carton. I really like the way the streambar, subwoofer and 4 speakers work. However, the streaming part of this is not good. First, it is much slower than my other Roku devices. But the worst part is constant buffering and wifi drops. It is maddening. I have to go into settings and restart the system. That worked for a while, but now it is very temporary. I need to change to one of my other Roku devises, but I don't want to lose the speakers.

Unable to activate. Unclear return directions.

Would Not Recommend

Do NOT purchase if your TV does not have an HDMI ARC port. Stream Bar will not work on basic HDMI unless it has the ARC designation. Probably will not work on video projector systems either. The return directions are so confusing that I was unable to return the device.

I just returned the stream bar after a frustrating month. The wireless connection speed is slower than the ROKU streaming stick I was using on this TV. But the most aggravating issue is that the sound leveling does not work. The volume adjustment is inconsistent. This has been a game changer in my living room! I have a nice TV with excellent picture quality but poor sound output. I purchased the Roku Soundbar and also a Roku Subwoofer to improve my viewing experience. I was truly blown away by the results. The Roku Soundbar is a truly outstanding product. Low quality speaker, limited lifespan.

Between the speaker that cracks and blew in just about 12 months, the constant software issues, and customer support that doesn't respond, this speaker is junk. I gave this brand a chance with the small sound bar (I really wanted the Soundbar Pro, extra speakers, and Woofer), but I'm now returning to what I know what works and is high quality -- Apple products.
