No USB C for charging.

Seriously Roku, it's 2024. Everything else uses USB C. I have to have an extra cable cluttering around just to charge this remote?! If this charged with USB C I would replace all 4 of my Roku ultra remotes with this. Instead, it's going in the trash.

I got this remote with my Roku ultra. The remote lasted 5 days before the home button stopped working. Couldn't tell you about other features never got to try them out before sending it back, and I don't like the 4 preprogrammed buttons 2 of them were useless.

I will say that the find remote function has saved me a lot of frustration. But the battery just didn’t last. Even when it was new we were charging it a lot. I won’t be getting another one of these.

Micro-USB in 2024?

Was looking at this as we are always losing the remote somewhere in our bed and because the ROKU app's "Private Listening" feature constantly disconnects so this would solve the headphone issue but micro-usb is a non starter. Hopefully a USB-C version is in the works.

This rechargeable remote stinks! I liked my old Voice Pro that used a couple of AA batteries much better. This one occasionally (usually at least 2-3 times per week) just loses connection and won't work, even though the battery shows as fully (or mostly) charged. I have to go plug it in to a charging cord for a few moments to "wake it up". As far as I am able, I will never again buy another one of these "rechargeable" remotes. It was nice while it worked for 3 months

I got rid of my battery draing remotes in exchange for this oiece of junk. It never held a charge for ling. The cord that it came with had to be held in place while charging. The vooice feature to find the remote never worked even qith a full charge. It makes a rattling nois a part obviously came loose. Best of all if I try to charge it , it hits 74 percent max then stsrts losing battery power rapidly to 3 percent. I got rid of my battery sucking remote and thia was more expensive and is junk....

Only holds a charge for around 14-28hrs then you have to plug it in and tape the recharge cord to the actual remote so it won't fall out of the port! After too short of time the remote fails to hold a charge. We ordered a replacement from roku, almost a week later it has not even shipped. These things are a joke. Bring back the series with the replaceable batteries, and offer rechargeable batteries.

I purchased a Roku Ultra with this remote back in the summer and did not begin using it until about three weeks ago due to my wife (she has PPMS) and it has been a nightmare. The sound suddenly goes up or down as it chooses, also the picture on my set will darken like it was a night scene. This remote came with the Ultra I just purchased. I noticed the remote battery would flash on the screen every 30 to 45 seconds even though the battery was 100%. The remote would not stop pairing, which is why the battery level would flash on the screen, unless it was connected to the charging cable that came with the remote. I couldn’t unpair the remote because every time I did the remote would just re-pair itself. I literally had to put the remote in the truck of my car to keep it from pairing...
