No USB C for charging.

Seriously Roku, it's 2024. Everything else uses USB C. I have to have an extra cable cluttering around just to charge this remote?! If this charged with USB C I would replace all 4 of my Roku ultra remotes with this. Instead, it's going in the trash.

I got this remote with my Roku ultra. The remote lasted 5 days before the home button stopped working. Couldn't tell you about other features never got to try them out before sending it back, and I don't like the 4 preprogrammed buttons 2 of them were useless.

The voice part is a joke

The no touch voice portion stopped working day two now it is just a regular remote.i attempted three times pairing the unit but no success. The only reason.i am keeping it is the rechargeable battery

Great features, too bad the battery is garbage.

I will say that the find remote function has saved me a lot of frustration. But the battery just didn’t last. Even when it was new we were charging it a lot. I won’t be getting another one of these.

I have no problem with the remote.

But my wife will not let me put Roku in our bedroom because it doesn’t light up. It doesn’t bother me be for her it’s a no go.

NO USB C Charging?!

It's 2024, why does Roku insist on making a non USB C charging device? There's no reason they can't put a USB C port on this and it can charge with the same cable as literally every other device in my house.

Micro-USB in 2024?

Was looking at this as we are always losing the remote somewhere in our bed and because the ROKU app's "Private Listening" feature constantly disconnects so this would solve the headphone issue but micro-usb is a non starter. Hopefully a USB-C version is in the works.

Long life

I have mine for over a year with no issues. I have to charge it every 4 to 6 weeks. My wife and I love it.

Bring back the battery!!

This rechargeable remote stinks! I liked my old Voice Pro that used a couple of AA batteries much better. This one occasionally (usually at least 2-3 times per week) just loses connection and won't work, even though the battery shows as fully (or mostly) charged. I have to go plug it in to a charging cord for a few moments to "wake it up". As far as I am able, I will never again buy another one of these "rechargeable" remotes. It was nice while it worked for 3 months

I got rid of my battery draing remotes in exchange for this oiece of junk. It never held a charge for ling. The cord that it came with had to be held in place while charging. The vooice feature to find the remote never worked even qith a full charge. It makes a rattling nois a part obviously came loose. Best of all if I try to charge it , it hits 74 percent max then stsrts losing battery power rapidly to 3 percent. I got rid of my battery sucking remote and thia was more expensive and is junk....

Bring back the batteries!

The rechargeable battery on this new model is atrocious! Only holds a charge for around 14-28hrs then you have to plug it in and tape the recharge cord to the actual remote so it won't fall out of the port! It also emits some type of microwave or feedback which starts to irritate your hand after a few minutes of holding the remote! A true overpriced, disaster of a product! Bring back the old battery operated remote with headphone jack! You've ruined the original earbuds and now the remote! Whoev...

No battery replacement

After too short of time the remote fails to hold a charge. We ordered a replacement from roku, almost a week later it has not even shipped. These things are a joke. Bring back the series with the replaceable batteries, and offer rechargeable batteries.

Works fine but

Works just like any other remote, but the battery ones are better. Micro USB? Really? USB C or don't even bother bringing this to the market. I had to dig up a decade old phone charger to find that Micro cable.

I have had to replace two remotes now and I can't even find the battery powered remote with shortcuts and remote finder anymore. Way to go Roku.....discontinue something that people like. What I hate about the rechargeable remote is that it can't be used while charging. The remote dies and then I have to wait. It used to be just pop in some new batteries and away you go. Not anymore. I don't know what's with your remotes but every one I've had is junk. The first basic remote just stopped working after a couple months ( yes I changed the batteries). So we stepped up to a voice remote. This remote ate batteries like they were free, 4- 6 batteries a week! So then we switched to a rechargeable remote. Roku Pro (not)

I purchased a Roku Ultra with this remote back in the summer and did not begin using it until about three weeks ago due to my wife (she has PPMS) and it has been a nightmare. The sound suddenly goes up or down as it chooses, also the picture on my set will darken like it was a night scene. Like the recharge and the ear buds feature, the problems are not worth the trouble it has cause. I have four other Roku controllers not the same that work fine. I would not buy this until they get the bugs out...

Really poor product

Had 3, charging port broke on all, cheap design, drops signal regularly, headset volume is much lower. Do not buy

i own 2 voice remotes and use plug in ear phones, all the time always have issue with static or jack problem, I use quality plug in ear phones. Very disappointing of product quality!!!!roku needs better r&d

Worst remote ever!

This remote came with the Ultra I just purchased. I noticed the remote battery would flash on the screen every 30 to 45 seconds even though the battery was 100%. The remote would not stop pairing, which is why the battery level would flash on the screen, unless it was connected to the charging cable that came with the remote. I couldn’t unpair the remote because every time I did the remote would just re-pair itself. I literally had to put the remote in the truck of my car to keep it from pairing...

Voice Remote Pro Rechargeable remote

Over the last few years I have been moving towards only buying USB rechargeable handheld devices. This remote is excellent, except for one glaring thing, it is still using 10+ year old Micro USB technology, that was first introduced in 2007. Roku, Please, please get into modern times and adapt to the new standard USB-C.
