A must for a portable generator
Would RecommendAs an Electrician I have many customers who have portable generators looking for safe solutions to emergency power. I have installed many of these over the years accompanied by a breaker/ generator safety device. I finally installed one at my house before Hurricane Florence and although we did not lose power, I’m ready now to transfer to generator power if needed.

Does not have twist lock mechanism
Would Not RecommendI bought this receptacle box to mount off my breaker box in my garage to plug a generator into. When tested, I was getting no power to the breaker box. After "jiggling" the female end of extension cable from the generator, I was then able to get power. Due to the extension cord being so heavy, the only way to make this work is to support the cable with something. Or mount it directly on the floor. It seems this receptacle does not have a "twist lock" mechanism. Or something is preventing it fro...
