Would RecommendI needed an inlet box to connect my generator to the transfer switch and this L14-30P inlet box was easy to install. The construction is fair, but nothing to write home about. Within minutes of taking the unit out of the plastic wrap the paint on the front corner of the box chipped off in my hand. I figured these were powder coated, but I guess not. Would RecommendThis is a sturdy, well constructed inlet box. I would also recommend purchasing the generator interlock kit for your circuit breaker panel. Doing so, will prevent the inlet box from being turned on unless the main circuit breaker is turned off.

Would RecommendA quality product. A little pricey but I guess you get what you pay for. Thanks to those at Lowes who work in the electrical isle I was able to get all I needed to get the job done right. The job was to install an outside inlet box and hard wire it to double throw 30 amp each circuit breakers in the circuit breaker box on other side of the wall in the garage.

Would RecommendI just installed one of these today for my generator. It was an easy install as there is nothing to this box - just an enclosure with a plug. It seemed to be made well enough; however, as a previous reviewer said, as an outdoor unit it could use some more weatherproofing. It'll probably be fine, but it doesn't give me a warm and fuzzy that it'll keep out all of the elements.
