After successfully installing it and locking the ring, I turned the water back on, and the top half of the ballcock shot off like a firework. Tried 3 times. The 3rd time, it shot off so hard it actually MOVED the porcelain lid of the tank!

Would RecommendBefore you buy, make sure that the float rod and ball are short enough to fit in your tank. The rod is about 8 1/2 inches long. To adjust the length, you have to pull hard on the inner shaft. It may seem that the "pegs" resting in the recessed triangles may interfere but they don't. To lock the length of the ballcock shaft in place, pull down the grooved locking collar and then turn it so that one of the little triangles on the collar lines up with one of the big inverted triangles on the inne...

Would RecommendThe instructions fail to mention that the locking ring must be pushed down AND TURNED to the detent to lock the height and keep the valve from fully extending under pressure. Try adjusting the length and locking it before installing it to make sure it really is locked. Pull the inner tube from the outer tube it to simulate the water pressure and make sure it really is locked.

It does its job
Would RecommendI didn’t care for that flapper. I used a different one because the rubber line coming from the flapper to the flush handle seemed a little stiff. So I used a universal flapper with a metal chain. Outside of that, everything installed easy and after about a month, still works.
