Would RecommendThrow away your Teflon tape, and get some of this dope. I have used this on numerous joints including compressor piping that gets hot. Zero leaks. Great stuff.

It works great!
Would RecommendAfter putting all my plumbing together with teflon tape and having it leak like a sieve, I needed a plan B. After researching this site and reading the reviews I chose the Rectorseal T plus 2. It worked like a charm! Yes, it is quite thick, and can be messy, but bottom line is it WORKS. I worked it into the pipe threads by hand, assembled everything, and after letting the job sit overnight turned the water back on - not a single drip anywhere. I also used it on those maddening under sink plastic...
works great
Would Recommendplumbed whole house no leaks just put it on male threads medium coating not to heavy
Stopped the leak
Would RecommendStopped the leak at brass to brass fittings when used in conjunction with Teflon tape that the Teflon tape alone didn't.
Works great

Better than Teflon Tape
Would RecommendThis product really does work to seal joints. I have used on brass to brass and ABS to ABS joints with 100% success. It can get rather messy when brushing the compound onto the threads so have rags handy to assist in cleanup.

Bye Bye Tape
Would RecommendSo much easier than Teflon tape. Brushed it on and no leaks. Perfect in tight spots.

Goop
Would Not RecommendThe product is so "goopy" needs to be thinner. You can't get just a little, it's like half the can came out and impossible to get an even spread.

Good quality purchase
Would Not RecommendEasy to use, a bit thick but good at sealing pipe threads. I used this sealant to replace the flexible gas whip for my hot water heater and, for a new install on my new Whirlpool gas dryer. Both devices are LP gas fired and I had no leaks upon the initial charging of the gas lines; nor any subsequent leaks.

T plus 2
Would RecommendI have used Rector Seal products for several years without any worries about leaking or problems often associated with normal Teflon tape. I have been doing maintenance for several years involving piping systems, plumbing issues, etc. and I have always had great success with this product. Plus over the past few years, Lowe's has been my "go to" place for a number of products as I like the service I get and the purchasing programs they offer.

T plus 2 RectorSeal thread sealant
Would RecommendI can't seem to replace or repair any plumbing connections without having a small leak. Rectorseal applied to the threads eliminates the leak and is much easier to use than teflon tape. GOOD PRODUCT!!!!.

Great replacement for teflon tape
Would RecommendI installed a new shower rough in valve and used teflon tape. As soon as the water was on... leaks. So I did some research and found this stuff. HOLY COW. This sealant is much better and you don't have to deal with that thin Teflon. GREAT STUFF!
