lumpy gooey stuff
Would Recommendfascinating to look at and gets everywhere. Pipes still leaked though. Tightened the 1" iron pipe with the force of a million suns, yet air still found its way out during the pressure test. So I had to tighten it a little more. Like, one more sun maybe.

EXCELLENT-EXCELLENT-EXCELLENT!!!
Would RecommendGreat stuff, in my opinion, and the only stuff to use for pool fittings as well as other fittings of various materials. I will not use Teflon tape because it just doesn't seal anywhere as well as the Rectorseal T plus 2. I discovered this product about 3-4 years ago and wished I had found it sooner. (It applies with a built-in brush applicator and then there is no waiting necessary before putting the freshly sealed equipment into use.)

Great Product
Would RecommendDoes a great job sealing threaded joints. Recommended product.
Thread sealant
Would Not RecommendThis does Not live up to the standards that most everyone expects from products that are sold by Lowes. I put this material on pipe threads, and it leaked (the pipe pressure was and is 60 PSI). So as I read the instructions on the can it should have sealed. The Pipe was tightened down to the end of the threads so there is no rear excuse for it to have failed. I went back and replaced the "T plus 2 thread sealant" with Teflon tape and fixed my problem. I do not recommend this product for what i...

Easy & Reliable
Would RecommendUse this in place of thread tape (teflon tape?) because with its thick consistency and brush applicator is is much easier to apply (especially in hard to reach areas) and gives you a reliable seal all around the joint.

doesn't dry!
Would Not Recommendmaybe due to 62F temperature but 4 days later still didn't dry, don't touch and failed on pressure test. Definitely would not recommend.
Perfect for lubricating PVC for a snug fit.
Would RecommendRelocated and reinstalled a laundry tub, used this product at all joints and completed project with no leaks. For this novice plumber, that's success.
