Would RecommendDescribed exactly as advertised. I ended up using it as substrate for my aquarium, and it looks great after rinsing it off for a while. I only have one negative comment, the packaging… it is not designed specifically for holding sand. You lose various amounts of sand when lifting and moving the bags. It’s like leaving bits of money here and there. After I purchase something I expect to bring ALL of it with me. Lastly, a piece of advice, the bags weigh 50 lbs each… so I recommend doing some stre...

Would Not RecommendThis is simply playground sand in a different bag. WAY too small/clumpy to filter water. Real pool filter sand is much larger/coarse than this fine stuff. Save time, buy from your pool store.

QUIKRETE POOL FILTER SAND IS USELESS
Would Not RecommendIt's useless! It created cloudy water, left very fine sand on the bottom of the pool and lost super fine sand every time I backwashed. it never did filter out the algae. I fought it for two weeks then finally repacked the filter with another brand and ran the pump and filter overnight to find Crystal clear water in the pool the next morning. Don't waste your time using this product. The uniformity of the grade is poor causing bypass and losses of material 😢
