The Purdy Power Lock extension is a back saver!

This is by far the best roller extension pole I have ever owned. It is well balanced, sturdy, allowed for much greater control given the adjustability of the pole. I really like how this product is constructed as well. Heavy duty, but not unwieldy.

Saved me tons of time while re painting a room, only had to use a ladder to do the trim

If you are looking for an one-and-done... Not It!

Quick connect makes changes (9", 18", 6" frames) considerably easier and Less Messy. Secure length adjustment -- without drilling holes or experiencing slippage (over/under tightening) is enlightening.

Power Lock mechanism jammed

I own the 1'-2' Power Lock extension pole, it's a fantastic size, really handy, and perfect in small spaces. The only problem is the extension pole is jammed and will not retract. I'm so disappointed, I always buy Purdy as the quality is usually wonderful.

2-4 foot powerlock extension pole

bought this about a year ago, end broke clean off the other day. called purdy and the dont sell just the tip. my traditional screw on poles have been great, but this new locking one is garbage.

Good idea but not durable

I only use mine to paint my own house and thus have only used it maybe 20 times and it's already slipping and won't stay locked. Very poor quality for a "professional" product.

Ideas good

Would be amazing if you could buy the connector part that locks roller in as they break all time and to be honest I've bought loads

I purchased another pole and have 3 now. Its awesome idea but very much hope that this locking mechanism lasts much longer then my other 2 as they made it far less than 1yr

Won't stay lock

I bought 4 ro 8 feet pole and won't stay lock when back to the store and they say they can't do anything about it my little pole is doing the same thing

powerlock pole

I Have this product 3 weeks very disappointed . quick release broke and the pole won't hole length keeps sliding to a closed/ short position.

I bought the 4-8ft, came without rubber grip

I bought the 4-8ft locking pole and it came without a rubber end grip piece. After using it for about 8 months the locking mechanism would not work all the time. Very disappointed and will be going back to my old poles.

Great idea bad locking mechanism

I love the pole lineup. I love the quick release.. In fact I have every size: 8-16ft. 4-8ft. 2-4ft(several of these) 1-2ft I use the 2-4ft the most and all three that I had the locking mechanism failed and it didn't hold in place of it seized up and would move. I bought more than one after this happened because I really do love Is the quick release roller handles the the pole combo together. If they could figure out the pole failures it would be flawless. I will say I won't buy anymore ...

Lock breaks after a while

I’ve had this 2 to 4 pole and I love how easy ir is to use with my favorite handles but I did notice that after a while the pole seems to retract on its own when I’m rolling.

Locking mechanism fail

The power lock mechanism isn’t very powerful. The extension now slides back with little resistance rendering this a non extending 4’ pole now. Very unsatisfactory, especially since there seems to be no way to fix or replace the locking parts. This parts failure can also cause an accident on the job site costing much more than this pole is worth. I wish Purdy would go back to its old locking mechanism that has preset notches on the octagonal extension… I have a 2-4’ pole that has lasted well over...

Poor Engineering

The pole barely accomplishes the role as a tool for providing an extension of the user's reach. Yes it can be extended to nearly a full 12 feet. It can be retracted its base 6 feet. It is light. But the extended pole is extremely flexible and subject to unwanted bending. The biggest problem is the threaded tip: 1>The threaded tip will no accommodate most of my brushes which my other extension poles readily accept. That means a plastic adapter has to be purchased at a hardware store. ...

Lock is useless

I have been through multiple of these ever since they came out. I don’t know how this was thought to be a good idea. Trying to do ceilings and it just slides back down after been used for a short time. The poles with the notches are way better. I still have a couple of those style poles from 10 years now.

2-4 extension pole power lock

Bought a month or two ago lock quit working switch products brushes rollers and poles was told it’s better then comparative company so far not to impressed
