Worth trying because of the price
Would RecommendRefrigerator water filter are very expensive. I got this one to try because it was much more affordable the oem products. In the past cheaper ones were not very good. This product is thinner the the oem one that I removed. It also has a different end on it that you can see in my photo. After installing it and flushing it out it had very good water flow. This filter is definitely worth trying. If the flows stays like it is it is a good purchase

Stick with the Whirlpool Filter.
Would Not RecommendTried this instead of the usual Whirlpool 4 to save a few bucks. The filtered water from Project Source had a very funny taste when it was at room temperature. Never had that problem with the Whirlpool filter. If you decide to try it, remember they only have a 90 return. policy.

Does what it's supposed to.
Would RecommendIt works but the flow rate of this filter is significantly less than that of the name brand product that I use. Meaning it takes longer for the water to fill my 24oz water bottle or other containers. I does a great job at filtering the water and that is what counts.

I noticed the top design was different (fewer holes for whatever that matters), and when I placed it into the refrigerator I noticed it was also shorter.
