What Customers Are Saying

Customers overwhelmingly praise this drain snake for quickly and effectively removing hair and debris from sinks and tubs without chemicals, calling it an affordable and reliable alternative to plumbing services. Most report immediate success with clogs, appreciating the simple design and chemical-free approach. However, some users experienced product failure, with the plastic breaking or becoming brittle during use, occasionally leaving fragments lodged in drains. Despite these durability concerns, most customers find it a worthwhile solution for minor clogs.

Not what it used to be

When I first started using these zip strips to clear hair from tub drains, they were molded as softer and more flexible and they worked great. These are more expensive with a (unnecessarily fancy) larger handle and molded of harder plastic which makes them brittle and more prone to break. After using one in the same manner as before, about 7-8 inches of the end broke off in the drain and cannot be retrieved.

Simple and reliable to use

When "Drano" doesn't work, this is even easier and faster. The package has two snakes and they are flat so they can fit around the stopper into the drain. Push and pull a few times and the barbs catch the hair and other icky junk and pulls it out straightaway. Voila. All done.

Snaps in half rather easily.

Would Not Recommend

Was trying to clear an apartment’s bathtub drain. Be forewarned - there were at least two cross pieces in the way. After a few minutes the thing snagged and wouldn’t come out. A few minutes later it snapped in half.

Relatively Effective/Would Use Again

Would Recommend

The length of the snake is good. Often had to yank very firmly to get it out of the drain when fully descended.
