Great stuff to work with

This stuff is great to work with. The odor is not overwhelming but very pleasant. Spreading the mulch with my hands left absolutely no red residue on my gloves. Must be the dyes are really good. The cheaper one I used in my backyard made my hands red, even though I wore gloves.

Be Cautious

Purchased 6 bags about 2 weeks ago. When I opened the first bag it was not even close to red I checked the bag to make sure I didn't grab the wrong color, but sure enough it said red. When I finally got all the bags opened and started spreading it I felt something under my foot poking into m shoe. Looked down and found a piece with 3 NAILS in it. First 3 finely shredded next 3 lg chucks

The first 3 bags were finely shredded and the next 3 bags large chunks. Did not match what was already put down. Does not look good in garden. My shopping at Lowes will always continue as this is not Lowes fault.

A GREAT product

I have been using this product for 3 - 4 years and have been very happy with it. After reading the reviews I was a little skeptical but since it has always worked well I purchased it again this year. I augmented the mulch that was already down from last year and the color match was perfect. The mulch was 'wet' when I purchased it and a little darker but when it dried it matched. Lots of nails in mulch

I purchased 6 bags of this mulch and as I am spreading it out I start finding nails in the mulch. If you look at the picture, you can see the nails, chunks of metal and large chunks of wood.

Disappointed

I bought 10 bags at first to see if I would like it brought it home spread it out liked the color. Went and bought 30 more bags. Put some down right after I bought it the next day it already looks faded. Going to use the rest of the bags but I am really disappointed the color is faded in a matter of 24 hours. I just hope at this point it controls the weeds like it states on the bag because the color sure didn't last.

If you like PINK Bark or a weird white/red bark

This is for you. :( Maybe I Just got a bad batch...But...Don't buy this unless you are diggin' the PINK bark... Booo... (Not fine, huge limbs and bark...)

Great value

Well it was only mulch but such a great value I returned a few days later and bought more. Looks great in the garden. Gives it a professional look. Love Lowes. Sales folks always helpful answering questions never making me feel rushed and have gone out of their way to get me what i need.

Preen Red Mulch

Preen helps control weed very well for over a year. The color lasts for a year.

Disappointed

I bought 4 bags of this June 21, 2014. I was extremely pleased with how my flower beds looked after I put this out. The red mulch made my plants really stand out. The only drawback, at the time, was there were large chunks of wood in it, making it difficult to spread. Granted, we've had quite a bit of rain in the last week, but even so, the color is supposed to be guaranteed for a year. this was much better than i expected.

the color was bright. i wanted to make my garden stand out,and this mulch did the job. the neighbors are all asking how much i paid to have the garden done for me.

Red Hardwood Mulch

This red hardwood mulch not only keeps the weeds down and holds the moisture in, it also dresses up my flower beds. They look so much better with this mulch. I love the color!

So far so good

Looks good and covers easily and quickly upon application. My wife loves the look of the flower bed. I did not give an excellent over all rating only because the product has been down for only a week, so I don't know how well the weed control works yet. But, so far, so good.

Preen Mulch Plus

I have been using the product for two years. I built mowing strips around the trees and house. I now do very little weeding. The weeds don't grow through the mulch.

We built an upraised flower bed .It is awesome.

Great Purchase

The Mulch Plus from Preen is something I purchased to try out. I plan on buying more as it brightens up the area I placed it in and does work well with controlling weeds. I was impressed. Great Product
