Not worth it!!

Purchased 4 bags of this mulch and within a few weeks weeds continued to grow. Where was the control?? Will not buy this again.

Water logged!

Many of the reviews for the Preen mulch that were negative had to do with large chunks of wood in the mulch. I certainly had a few of them, but that's not my beef. I purchased two bags of the mulch to keep weeds down around my small 1st year blackberry plants. Whether it keeps the weeds down is yet to be determined, but the bags were so full of water that I fail to see how and weed control agent could be left in the wood mulch. Preen red mulch

I was disappointed that some of the red mulch had blue and white paint on it. I also had a bag that was moldie. Would not recommend.

Angry Garderer

I purchased several bags of the Midnight Black mulch for my flower bed. It was down less than 2 weeks and has already started to fade! I also have weeds coming up even though I weeded the bed before I put the mulch down. More brown than red

Purchased 30 bags of the Russet Red mulch from Lowe's on 4/5/2019. The color is more brown then red. We have also found large pieces of plastic and broken glass in the mulch. Not happy with this mulch.

Excellent Weed Control

This mulch with weed preventer was perfect for my project. I have a flowerbed on each side of my front walkway. Instead of planting flowers in the ground, I placed large planter boxes I made in the flowerbeds. With this mulch, I haven't seen any weeds growing whatsoever. This mulch cost more than regular mulch but if weed prevention is something you need, it's worth the extra money.

Weeds have come!

I purchased and spread out 40 plus bags of this mulch. I got it because of the weed control. 1 month later, weeds are spouting everywhere. All different kinds. I would not recommend if that's the reason you are buying this product.

Color did not last a week

I bought them about a week ago and applied one and haft bags to my garden. Now, the color is all faded away. Very disappointed. I have two more bags left...

Doesn’t work

I purchased 70 bags of mulch and I got a bad batch or it really doesn’t work. Despite putting heavy duty landscape fabric on top of the weeded soil, we noticed weeds in one week. We are now lweeding at least once a week. We have not noticed these problems using cheaper mulch, In areas we did not put it on because of the plants iissue we actually noticing much less weeds! I should have read more. Put out 48 vinca plants. First rain killed all but 4. Looks pretty is all I can say.

Preen red mulch

We could have purchased less expensive mulch but have used Preen in the past and were very pleased. This year We purchased 50 bags of the red mulch and it was brown not red even though it was labeled as red however it’s difficult to return 50 bags. We purchased 10 more bags to finish up and these 10 were more red. the difference was obvious. We probably won’t purchase this in the future

Waste of Money!

My garden is now full of poison ivy, milk weeds and some sort of thorny weeds. Never before have I had so much weeds and this was suppose to help control weeds.

Color disappearedafter first rain

Bought several bags of the red mulch for my flowerbed, when the mulch was first put down my flowerbed looked vibrant and bright. After the first rain all of the color washed away. The mulch is less than one week old and has less color than the mulch leg I used from the previous year. Very disappointing.

Does not work

Preen Plus

Got 40 bags at Lowe's and a lot of the bags looked like it was molded, and then the worse part. Some of the bags was full of ants. I had ants all over the place. Was not pleased with that at all. With the cost what it is, one would think it would get it without pests in the bags, or moldy mulch either.

Preen Mulch Plus Weed Barrier (Red) = Spot On

Purchased SEVERAL 2-cu ft Bags of Preen Mulch Plus Weed Barrier (Red), between two locations, and the bright red color matched throughout and it seems to be of good quality. Another plus, it was on sale, $3.33 a bag instead of $4.49. We are very satisfied.

Beware of Color

I purchased 12 bags of the Red Hardwood Mulch online. When I went to pick up the order they did not have all of the bags I ordered. They only had 8 but someone had returned 1 so I purchased that 1. They ended up refunding the difference but told me I could go to another store close by and get more. I purchased 5 more bags of the same color. I tried this last year and needless to say I could not tell the difference between this and non weed control mulch. In both the weeds came back. I would not recommend this item

Garbage

Bought 10 bags of Russet Red I ended up with color ranging from red to light grey no 2 bags were the same color. I'm not sure whos mistake this was as I returned 4 bags because they were moldy and so wet you could not tell the color until it dried. Im guessing this is old product stored since last year.
