A surprise in every bag!

If you’re like me, you read online product reviews and figure “eh, maybe these people got a bad batch or something” and buy the product anyway. It usually turns out alright - not this time! Every bag is a different color—my flower bed looks like Neapolitan ice cream—and it hasn’t stopped any weeds. Save yourself a few bucks and buy something else.

Perfect mulch!

Your employee, Phillip, in lawn and garden area is a great help. Very friendly and informative. This mulch keeps its color all summer without fading.

Weed Control?

This product allowed weeds to grow over the path immediately. In fact, it seemed as though the weeds were growing as part of the mulch I laid down. Very disappointed!

Recycled Garbage

I thought I could trust the Preen name. This is the most depressing mulch ever. It is not so much a mulch as it is a mixture of poorly chopped and ground square spindles, furniture legs, and plywood. I have long rectangular blocks, pieces of plywood, and pieces that look like old bits of furniture in every bag of mulch I purchased. Furthermore, every bag I purchased had several pieces with bright blue paint on them.

Absolutely

I have a picture that proves this works. I stopped the mulch at the area that would be dug for new walkway. Clear line of weeds in no mulch and no weeds in preen mulch area. Saved me time and back ache not having to pull weeds

The colors are different

I bought 5 bags and the colors are all different. When I bought red, I expected to get the same color.

No benefit. Not worth price.

Big sticks you'd want to throw a dog to play fetch with. Not uniform size mulch pieces. No weed blocking noted vs. standard mulch. Won't buy again.

Expensive and doesn’t stop weeds

I paid more than twice as much for this mulch and it did NOT stop weeds. Dint wate your money.

Great product!

I have been using this product for years and have had great success with it. The color is good and does a great job at greatly reducing the number of weeds. One could use a cheaper product, but then you would have to spray the mulch with a weed inhibitor too, so the price might equal out, but this is an excellent all in one way to put mulch down without an excessive amount of weeds. The thicker you lay it down the better it works.

Colorblind quality control

I have never left a review for anything I have purchased, but after purchasing 20 bags of the red I felt future buyers had to be warned to not expect the color listed on the bag. I made the mistake of opening 10 bags first and dumping piles before spreading. I noticed the piles were different colors, but assumed it was just wet. Wrong, even though all the bags said red you end up with brown out of some bags, almost black out of some and if you’re lucky you may end up with a couple reds.

What a time saver!

I put this in my flower beds every spring and it keeps weeds away all summer. I get a few here and there but so easy to keep under control. The red color looks great and really makes the color in my flowers pop.

Purchased 30 bags of red and probably half of them were not red, but brown!! Will purchase more to cover the brown ones!!
