Nice Upgrade for your wooden mail box post But...
Would RecommendAfter many years of painting my mailbox post, I purchased this product. Looks great! Easy to install! Easy to follow directions. BUT BEWARE. The mounting brackets are for a regular small size mailbox. I upgraded to a larger mailbox years ago. The supplied nut and bolts are too short to attach a larger size mailbox to the supplied mounting brackets. Luckily I had some longer bolts to finish the job. Very pleased with this mailbox post.
Would RecommendI considered so many options including a standard cedar post and painting it white. But this pvc material should weather better, and looks really nice. The mailbox brackets aligned just right and slipping the whole sleeve post over a secured 4x4 post worked out well. The caps look good. Overall, really pleased.
