I really like the design of this mailbox post. I'm a bit confused why it is so short. A standard mail box is supposed to be 45 inches tall this one is only 3 ft. I can't pull up by it and check the mail without getting out of the car. It would have to be hard to deliver the mail also.

This mailbox post fit very easily over the old 4x4 post, and it looks very nice. It never will rot because it’s made of polymer. It’s perfect.

This is exactly the style that we wanted. The quality is fine and the instructions are easy to follow. They provide self tapping screws but I would have preferred pre-drilled pilot holes. The cross posts dips because there are only two screws to hold it in and if you install as per the instructions, you create a pivot point. I wish I had realized this and I would have off-set the screws. If I do that now I'll have a hole in the post. The absolute biggest frustration is not with this mailbox post...

Looks great - does not last

We purchased this post in July. It looked great and was fine until December. In December the whole top portion broke off. We thought the snow plow hit it do we bought another one to replace it. The second one didn't stay intact for a week. We are in Ohio where it's been cold and windy. There's no support for the vinyl post about the mailbox support, so when it's cold and windy the vinyl/,PVC/, plastic just cracks from the wind hitting the mailbox. Almost Great

I just installed one of these at my house. It looks very nice and went together very easily. The only problem I found with it is that the cross bar sags downward if you just use the screws and placement prescribed in the instructions. The single screw on each side of the cross bar just creates a pivot point for the cross bar to sag.
