EASY INSTALL

The installation was pretty straight forward and simple. Only took a few minutes and looks good. The problem and it's a big one is Lowe's does not have a very big selection of shades that will fit this. I couldn't find one anywhere else that would fit without spending a fortune. So I ended up with one that I am not crazy about but it works.

Best conversion kit available

I put these in my house and it literally took me 15 minutes to install two of them. The hardest part was getting the cord lengths right. I just installed three different kits for a friend Who bought them from lighting showroom. It took one hour to figure out the first one. Holes had to be drilled with brackets, backer plates and trim covers. It took 2-1/2 hours to install three of theirs and cost them 4 times more than i paid. Just Perfect !!!

They look amazing !!!, it give so much live to the kitchen with just this little upgrade, in a matter of minutes i got it mount. We are so in love that i order the 3 pendant package to go in the dinning area. Sorry for my little mess, to exited i forgot to clean, 100% DIY.

I installed 2 of these in my kitchen and couldn’t be happier with how they look and how so very easy they were to install. I am a handyman on the side and feel that my skillset is advanced but still feel that the general homeowner would be able to install these with confidence.

These retrofit coversion lights are the most helpful well designed product I’ve found in a long time. We changed our 6” diameter can lights to pendant lights and used lightshades from the selection at Lowes also. They were quick to do and super straightforward. You can decide how long you want the hanging cord to be - I looked up on the web what the usual length was. These lights really finished off our kitchen renovation. Simple to use

This conversion kit is so simple to install. It literally took 8 minutes to transform the look of our kitchen nook. So pleased with this product.

Easy to install

Wide base, converts the recessed light over my kitchen bar to a more high end look

Literally just pull chord to adjust screw in and tighten, took about 10 minutes. We did our above the sink so had to make the chord pretty short which again was easy! Only thing I would change is I wish the chord was braided or coated for a more modern look.

I had purchased a different brand and they wouldn’t work for my situation. These were East to use and look great!

It’s magical

I bought two of these and easily changed out my recessed canned lighting to two pendant lights. I have zero electrical skills but other than turning off the breaker, none were required. It truly does just screw into the socket in the ceiling. Besides being so easy to install, it will be easy to change out pendant shades whenever I feel like it.

Not as easy as they claim

There is nothing to hold the cover flush to the ceiling. Wire is much too long and heavy to just “stuff inside the can”. I had to put in a lot of time and work rigging a bracket to secure the cover flush to the ceiling. NOT RECOMMENDED!!

Turned can light to pendant

We had a can light over our tub and wanted to put in a small pendant/chandelier. This worked well enough but the cord was much longer than we needed so it took some work to make it work for us. Otherwise, I'd have rated it higher.

Easy Conversion Kit

This kit was easy to install. I didn't need to turn off the power and wire anything. It really was plug n play.

Oversize Canopy needed.

I needed an oversize polished nickel canopy to cover a recessed light fixture when I installed new pendant lights. I did not need all of the parts that were included in the kit so it cost much more to do the install than I anticipated. Seems to me there should be a variety of canopies available for such conversions.

I am thrilled with everything about this kit! I ordered 3 for above my island and selected clear glass shades. After adjusting to keep the cover plate taught against the ceiling, we used a small piece of masking tape to mark the length of cord inside and above the cover plate....this helped in a consistent height for the remaining lights. Looks great and easy to install

My husband and I installed these in an hour. We had to use a high ladder because we have 12' cathedral ceilings. But we just screwed them into the sockets. The only time consuming part was making sure that they hung evenly from our vaulted ceiling.
