Great but watch out after 1 year

Wow what a great product but....this product was so easy to set up, very stubborn puppy was trained in less then 2 weeks, transportable to other locations and of course no wires. These are all the pros of this product. The con is that after 11 and 1/2 months of use everyday it no longer turns on. Luckily for me they have a 1 year limited lifetime warranty so taking back today to exchange. Hopefully I won't have this issue with the new one!

Excellent Product!!

We have a very stubborn and constantly active german shepherd that is 12 weeks old and we live just 15-20 feet off a state highway.....we ordered this online and received it in 4 days...we were skeptical because set up was so easy and NO FENCE TO BURY!.....within the 1st hour of training, our stubborn puppy had learned where she could and couldn't go.... I have been telling all of our dog owning friends about this product....Amazing!

Petsafe Wireless Pet Containment System

This unit is a bit pricey, but it does exactly what it's supposed to do. As a quick solution (didn't have time to put up a fence and chaining the dog seems cruel) this product fit the bill perfectly. It seems overly simplistic, but for this type device, simplicity makes it robust. It worked well on my hyperactive shepherd/husky puppy.

Love It!

I love this product! It took me 15 minutes to set it up with my wife. The score with me against my 11 month old male Lab Retreiver has been in his favor. His nickname is "Houdini" because nothing and I mean nothing would contain him until I got this product. The score is now, Houdini 99 and Daddy 1. I purchased this system after reading the great reviews and talking with friends that already have the same system. I did not hear one negative comment from anyone I know, as they all love how it has worked for them. The system comes with everything you need for quick and easy set up. I needed something to contain my 8 year old chocolate Lab when I moved to a new location where I didnt have a fence. My dog loves it!

I purchased this unit in July 2011 and it was great. Easy to use, dog loved his freedom. Now, Nov. 2011, the collar is bad and Pet Safe replaced it under warranty beacause I had the receipt (keep track of yours). There is only a 90 day warranty on the replacement collar. I love this product but hope the quality holds.

Well worth it!!!

We've had this system for about 10 years, and finally had to replace it. The new system is just as great. We had a fenced in yard, but still had trouble keeping our dogs in the fence. They would climb over, dig under, or push against the bottom of the chain link fence until it came loose - then they were off rambling the neighborhood. Best item I have ever purchased for my dogs!

I was a bit speculative about purchasing a wireless system for my dogs and about having a shock collar on them. But when I tried out this system it was easy to use and set up and my dogs learned how to stay within the containment area in one day! I didn't even need the flags, as soon as they hear the warning beep they would back away from the edge on the lowest shock setting. AWESOME!!!

We have 2 Bassett Hounds. They would go wherever their nose took them. They also love kids and families so when we weren't home they could be found mingling with other families and would leave the second we all went inside. Since in Texas the ground is rock hard buying an underground fence wasn't an option. Digging could have taken us years. We live on 2 acres so building a fence was an expensive option. Great Product. And easy to setup

I have used this product with 2 dogs for a little over a year and have been extremely satisfied. Great customer service from Petsafe as well. The batteries tend to last about 3 months, so you do need to keep an eye on that, but there is a flashing light on the collar when the battery is getting low. Great product, easy to setup, and no problems at all. Would certainly recommend.

Working Great so Far

Bought this three days ago. Very, very, very easy to set up. Instead of using the flags, I used orange marking tape. Took my 20 lb Boston Terrier/Pugg mix out with the setting just on beep and his leash. Pulled him back from the boundry when he heard the beep and gave him a treat. Then took him outside with the setting on just #2 and his leash, after two corrections, I could stand outside the boundry and he would just sit there. Unbelievable

We thought this might be too good to be true... but it works like a charm. We have a unit for our home and a separate one for our river house. Because of this fine product, our Brittany can run whenever he wants and remain safe.

For anyone looking for an easy way out of purchasing or installing an invisible fence, this is the way to go! We bought this for our small beagle (20 lbs and low to the ground) after she continued to scratch the back sliding door and away she went.
