You open the round hatch on top and fill it with tap water. There is a separate section in the bottom of the pitcher that the filtered water drains into. Then when you pour the water into a glass, there's a self-closing hatch over the spout. It looks like you need to pry it open to pour water, but you don't! Water Tastes Good

We found the water filtered in a timely fashion, but it wasn’t fast. We have well water that has a bit of an off taste. The Pur filtered that out and the water has a good taste.

Easy to replace
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] They make this really easy to use. A quick soak and rinse. Twist, remove old filter, add new filter twist to lock and use. The soaking takes like 10 minutes but then it takes about 2 minutes if that to change. And you are good to use your pitcher again.
