This is the best thing since sliced bread!

I have TWO of these and love them! It's one of those things that makes life a little easier. Just click the remote and turn on/off the lights from anywhere in the room. It's especially nice for a light over a painting. I get in bed, read, get the covers all fixed and click the remote and that's it. Couldn't be happier. Worth the price. Get it. You won't be sorry.

Bummer!

I bought this for my handicapped sister-in-law and drove 40 miles to install it. It worked just fine, until that evening when it quit working altogether. Another long round trip to pick it up, and now I have to return it to Lowe's. Not a happy camper.

Lamp Remote

We have a lamp we cant reach due to the furniture and this is perfect....thank you

Does the Job

I wanted an easy way to turn on (and off) the lamp beside my bed without having to crawl over the bed to get to it. The remote works great! Just what I wanted.

complete piece of garbage.

u might as well well set fire to a $20 bill. I have tried mine on multiple different outlets with mutiple different things plugged in and i keep gettging the same result. Once you hit the ON button on the remote, everything plugged in will turn on, as will the led indicator light on the outlet. HOWEVER, you can press the OFF button on the remote and it will cause the appliance to "blink" off, then turn back on immediately. The led light goes out but there is still power being supplied to the out...

Performed the function I needed

My only complaint is the cost of the product. I wanted a simple device to allow my daughter to turn a lamp on and off. I feel a simpler device would serve the purpose unfortunate this was the product I could find. Works perfectly.

On off remote plug

I needed something to turn off Chritmas tree lights and accompanying star. I saw this on line and went to the store and got it. It works really well. It is so convenient also. I might get more of them if I figure some pther place where they would be needed.

Excellent for those hard to reach outlets.

My wife and I bought one of these for our master bedroom because we wanted a way to turn lights on and off without getting up to use the light switch. It works perfectly. We liked it so much, we bought a second one to use in our screened in room to turn the lights on and off there, and now a third one for our Christmas Tree. This way we don't need timers and we can turn the lights and tree on any time we want. Works GREAT.

Possible glitch in design

We have two of these remote switches. They are in two different rooms. The remotes are on the same channel and with their 80 foot range, both lights operate when either remote is used.

Worked Once

Can't speak to any features, value, design, or ease of use, because it only worked the first time we tried it! Returning for a replacement, hopefully this is a one time glitch, and the new one will work as advertised.

Handy way to light my bedside.

This is perfect! I bought a hanging lamp from IKEA to hang beside my bed, then discovered it didn't have a switch. With this handy contraption I plugged the cord to my new lamp into this and then into the outlet behind my queen bed. I hung the remote right beside my bed and now I can turn on and off the light anytime.

great idea

this product makes life so much easier. if you have lamps, or light decor around a room, just plug in to the bottom and use the remote instead of reaching behind the furniture to turn it on. I love it !!

Solved the problem of a lamp I couldn't turn off

Found this while looking for a solution to a problem with a lamp I couldn't turn off. No more problem. Do do think the price is too steep.

Very convenient

Makes it easy to turn on/off up to 2 appliances, I.e. Lamps.

I bought 2 - the problem is that they are about 35 feet apart and when I turn one on or off, the other one reacts exactly the same. Upon calling, the operator said that the only way to correct that is to buy the pair with seperate I.D. numbers. In that I marked them unit#1 and unit2 I will hope that Lowes will alllow me to return one and get another.

Challenged

This product seemed over priced considering I bought a package of three at Christmas time for a few dollars less. The product works but it requires pushing the on button a couple of times before it engages. It does turn on lamps but it won't work at the advertised 80 feet, 50 feet or even 30 feet. Got it to work at about 20 foot distance. If you need something to switch lamps on from a short distance this product will work well.
