Don't buy this product

Worked great....once. Stopped working after first time using. Now red light flashes on base repeatedly for 30 seconds, then gets dimmer and dimmer, then goes out.

Do not buy more than one of these

This device works very well, but buyer beware. I bought another one because the first one works so well and is so handy, but the first time I used it to turn a lamp on in the downstairs office, the light that was plugged into the one upstairs in the bedroom turned on, too. I didn't know it was on until I went upstairs later. I called Utilitech and they say these devices all work on the same frequency and there is no way to reset the frequency. This seems like a design flaw. Why would anyone...

Plugged it in and it worked without hassle. COntinuing to work without line of sight.

Hard to program but great product

I'm sure this is a great product but for me it just to hard to program. Too few buttons to program to many functions you have to press buttons repeatitly to get where you want to go and at the same time read the instructions before the function times out. Had to call company to get it programed and worked great till it lost power and had to go back to square one.------ 5 stars for the product 1 star for me because of the programming issue.

Works Great!

I picked this up to use by my sliding glass door to turn on an outside fan I have mounted directly above it to keep the fly's from coming in every time someone opens the door. It's nice and clean looking, and is very easy to read. Works perfectly. I just think that for $20 it's a little pricey.

Works perfectly and provides important convenience

I am using these for under cabinet LED lighting in the kitchen. Having the remotes alleviates me having to manually plug the lights into the electrical wall outlets, (one located behind the microwave) and then unplug them at night - what a pain! Now I place the remotes on the microwave and turn both on when I come in or off when I leave the kitchen. This thing works, with walls and a wooden floor between the plug and the remote control. It is excellent!

Very nice product but has been cost reduced.

I have used one of these for years in my workshop to remotely turn on additional lighting. I was kind of surprised when I got the new one home and looked at the old item. The old item had one remote transmitter with three receivers. Each receiver could control 2 connections at the same time. The total old item could control 6 connections from one remote. the newer cost reduced version can only control 2 connections from one remote. Exactly What I Was Looking For

The majority of light in my living room comes from the two lamps on either side of my entertainment center. When I first moved in, I had those lamps on a timer so they would be on when I came home from work. Everything was fine until I realized that if I wanted to turn them on/off early or late, I was unable to do so as the outlet and timer were BEHIND the large entertainment center. Christmas Light Control

I used to have my lights on a timer, but put them up very early this year and wanted an easy on and off option. I have my lights plugged into a garage receptacle, but can control the on and off from inside of the house.

Don't expect 80 feet or even 40 feet.

This works fine if you are in the same room as the base unit but don't expect any real distance or for it to work through any walls. I purchased it to turn a light on on the garage, a distance of about 40 feet. It works up to about 20 feet but that's it. Even replaced the battery. Works fine in the same room but going through any walls or even windows seems to cut way down on the range it will work.

Product Didn't work

Not sure what the problem is, but the remote shows a signal, but the outlet does not. Taking it back.

Great product for the handicapped

Purchased for a family member who is unable to walk at the present time. This give her a great advantage for turning on and off a lamp remotely. These are hard to find for some reason. Just happened across this one in a Lowes while traveling a distance from our local stores. They say they are seasonal. Anyway I have a similar one purchased for a Christmas tree and we just left it plugged in all year and use it for a lamp, and leave the remote on the counter.

Makes life easier

I wanted to be able to turn a lamp on and off while across a room. This remote was easy to install and works just like I expected. The only disappointment was that he battery hat was included, and I paid for as part of the purchase, was dead. I had to snag another battery from another appliance and it worked just fine. How nice to light up the dark room when I walk into it, without having to cross to the other side where the lamp is plugged in. Time will tell how good the product lasts and perfo...
