Lasted two months

It was working great for our garden watering.. but then it just stopped working. The timer is turning it on and off but the shut off must have failed.

Lasts a very long time; does not run long enough

I have 4 of these that have served me reliably for 6 or more years. This one replaced one of another brand that died badly by sticking on. I wish I had a longer run interval; the dead one had 4 hours.

Simple and Perfect

Good simple timer with some weaknesses

I've had 4 of these with two failing in less than two years. If you can keep it relatively dry and the insects out of it, it will work quite well. I'm using these larger plastic sprinkler control boxes which means it is extremely humid in the box. This causes the electronics to eventually fail. I've also had ants move in and lay eggs inside until the entire unit was packed and that, of course, ruined another one. Simple, Effective, Reliable

Simple to use, has ample setting choices, very handy. I use it to augment my irrigation system for the plants that require a little extra water on a temporary basis, and I don't want to reprogram my main system. This timer is very efficacious for that purpose, and i'm sure for many others as well. I have an additional (same model) timer purchased about 3 years ago; it is still running with the same batteries.

Has internal leak. After just being used a couple times.

Good product, but no option for night shutoff

The product works well with flexible watering times and intervals between waterings. The one trap is that if you want 10 minute cycles every 4 hours (for germinating a new lawn), it will run 24 hours per day instead of only during daytime hours, which can lead to overwatering. In this case, you have to manually shut off the water and/or the timer each day, a minor inconvenience. The solenoid valve shuts off sharply, which can rattle your pipes, but it appears to be a solid no-leak valve.

Ok timer, but battery contacts needed help

I am ok with this timer, but there are better ones out there, with easier to see displays and easier to adjust settings (ones that don’t require the protective cover removal to adjust the settings). I, too, ran into the low battery and 12:00 time reset issues after a year, and I was able to fix it. The AA battery holder has two small + and - metal contact tabs on its exterior edge that needed pried away slightly to assure good contact with the timer module when the battery holder is fully inse...

Doesn’t work

AFter only a day or so, after setting the time and watering duration, the settings revert to the default 12:00 a.m. One time the screen message was “LO” indicating low batteries. However the batteries were still near 100%. Repkaced them anyway, but two days later the same default reversion. I even disassembled the device and it sure looks cheaply made. Not up to Orbit’s standards! I would definitely NOT recommend it .

Lacking 1 important item

I bought this periodically a section of new sod. It gives lots of options, like water every 2, 3, 4, or more hrs. Every day, every other day BUT it doesn’t provide a stop time. For instance I’d like to,water this area every 2 hrs for 10 min starting at 8AM and STOPPING at 8PM. Can’t do it no stop time. It will water every 2 hrs around the clock.
