Orbit 1" Inline Valves Failing
Would Not RecommendWe decided to put an inground pool in two years ago. To begin, we had to reroute our irrigation system. So, given the system was 12 years old, I decided to replace most of it with new piping and new 1" Orbit Inline valves. I installed all orbit 1” inline valves on the four sprinkler zones. Be ready to replace solonoids
Would Not RecommendI have 10 zones in my yard. After over 10 years I had to replace 6 valves so far. I replaced 3 with rain bird and 3 with orbit. So far in 2 years I’ve had to replce 2 orbit solenoid valves one year and now the third this year.Hopefully the new ones will not start to fail in such a short time. It is not easy to change an underground valve and not the way I want to pass a summer day. But if another goes bad I’ll be forced to replace them all.

Would Not RecommendI had 6 Orbit valves in ground. After one year, each year one or more valves cracked from the water pressure requiring their replacement. In twenty years never had that happen.
All Sprinkler Valves Buzz
Would Not RecommendI tried both Orbit and Rainbird products as Main Valve (MV) to help safety-proof expensive Delaware water waste from leaking system. Installed in crawl space under house. Buzzes like crazy. Bench tested six of each brand to verify it was not one bad valve. Every single one buzzed. OK in yard buried in a zone box; useless inside the house.
