Ratings & Reviews for Oatey Quadtro Quarter turn ball valve Copper sweat Washing machine Outlet Box
Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
This product is well-constructed and offers flexible configuration options. The quarter-turn valves are a convenient feature for quick water shutoff. However, some users reported issues with the soldering process, as the plastic box can melt when connecting copper pipes directly to the valves. It may also not be suitable for retrofit installations with limited wall access. Overall, this is a good quality product, particularly for new construction, that provides a functional laundry hookup solution.

Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice little setup for the laundry area. Ready to install and looks great. Just the right size and different options to set it up the way you need. Fittings seems to be pretty dependable and should last with the previous installation of the shock absorbers

Looks great
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent product. Installation is OK, be very careful to shield all the plastic parts from the hear when soldering (sweating) copper joints together. Just what we needed to repair leaky cold water connection on our washing machine box. But will require some one who is familiar with plumbing. NOT for the inexperienced.

Very solid install.
Would RecommendMore solid and secure than i thought. I closely examined othe models including sharkbite. But this one is constructed far better.
Not for a copper sweat connection
The box says it's for copper sweat. That's why I bought it and how I intended to use it. However, all the reviews that talk about melting are completely accurate. There is no way to get the valve hot enough to make a sweat connection without melting the plastic ring on the valve (which cannot be removed). If you are going to use this, connect a 1/2" FPT adapter on your pipe and thread it onto the valves after soldering. It should work fine like that. It's just really bad design for a box t...
looks good
Would Recommendupdated valves from what seemed to be old shower valves. once you have the drywall removed the valves and box are not to difficult. DIY, but not a beginner, just like to save a buck.
Very functional
Would RecommendVery good to get the water outlets into the space between the studs, washer can fit closer to the wall and. Easier to install if you are already renovating and have access to the water lines.

Best melting product
Would Not RecommendVery flimsy construction. Valves twist lock into box, so you must assemble everything to sweat pipes. Like many other reviewers, could not get enough heat for the solder on the joint before melting the box. Maybe it you are new construction and have no drywall up on either side of the stud you could manage, but for the average DIY person it seems to be a bad idea.
Not good for replacement..
Would Not RecommendI bought this as a replacement when the valves on our existing box started to leak. Apart from the problem noted in other reviews about catching fire when soldering the pipes, which is a big enough problem it itself, the seals between the valve pedestals and the box don't work and any potential leakage from a connection or valve will go inside the wall as opposed to down the drain like it should. And you won't know it is happening. I'm not even sure that this will work properly for new installat...
Good
Would RecommendInstall this before you put in the sheetrock. I used pex for this type of valve.
