Have noticed a bit of a difference

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using Ortho Home Defense Mosquito Kill & Prevent for a while now, and it definitely helps cut down on the number of mosquitoes in my yard. It’s easy to assemble, and I like that it not only kills mosquitoes but also helps prevent them from coming back. I wouldn’t say it gets rid of every single one, but it makes being outside way more bearable, especially in the evenings. Overall, a solid product that does what it says.

Ortho Mosquito Defense System

It seems like a good idea to help lower the population of mosquitoes, by lessening their breeding, but that is a long term goal. I would much perfer an immediate option: kill the adults, not even letting them breed. It's heavy once you fill it with water and it's finicky. You have to have a careful hand when suspending the mesh ring to float on the surface.

Did not work

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received the product in July and down here in Florida is pretty hot right about now. We have yet to get into the rainy season so the mosquitoes are not out all all. It sits on my back porch doing nothing...

Not helpful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unfortunately this did not work for us. We live in a country setting with moderate mosquitoes and we still got bite like crazy. I wanted this to work for us so much, no matter what we tried it didnt seem to work.

The claim is that it attracts mosquitos, who lay eggs in the (poisoned) water chamber and also pick up poison that will be carried to any other water body that they attempt to lay eggs in. Trying to get rid of the pesky bugs

Easy to set up but hard to review since it can take weeks for results. You have to repcane the whole things from the sound of it bevause they dont make refills and thats crazy!

Amazing and Effective Mosquito Control produc

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm pleasantly surprised at how effective this Ortho Home Defense Mosquito Kill and Prevent trap works. I assembled the unit in less than 2 minutes...very easy. I sat it out on my patio where mosquitoes have always been an issue. Three days later, my neighbor was sitting with me ans mentioned how he was not being eaten by mosquitoes like happens on his deck...he's since gotten one for himself!!!

Nice Easy Solution for Mosquito Problems

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product is effective at keeping mosquitoes away from my yard. We are now able to stay outside longer. Since it has a large coverage area and my yard is not that large, I am able to move around the yard without having to move the device.

Great Product

Also I like this product because it does a good job at killing mosquitos and preventing them from coming around me when I am outside.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It seems simple enough to set up and put outside of my house but I’m wondering if one is enough…or would 4 would be needed to put on each side? I placed it on the side of the house where water puddles after it rains. Hopefully they will go in it and it’ll work and I won’t see the little things anymore til after winter. Hopefully.

Easy set-up

Mosquito killer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was not what I expected, I thought it was too keep mosquitoes away but it is a long term killer to keep eggs from growing. It does seem to have some larvae in it so I really don't know how it's working.

Great Prevention!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've been using this for a few weeks now and the mosquitoes do seem to have died down quite a bite. Will need to use it a bit more. Definitely seems like it makes a noticeable difference. Kills them before even letting them breed. Love it!

Solid Mosquito Issue Fix

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently received an Ortho HOme Defense Mosquito Kill & Prevent system. Love the design and needed something to prevent so many mosquitoes in my garage while I relax in the evenings. So far so good the the control of mosquitoes that I see since setting up the system. Want to really see how well it works in August when I have the biggest issue with mosquitoes.

One box covers a very large area and the starter kit comes with 2 refills, which is enough for 2 months. It is easy to set up, though I recommend wearing disposable gloves because the powder is very fine. Easy to use with zero scent or plugs!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Super easy set up and a bigger format versus others but we appreciate the fact there’s no smell or plugs to deal with. The product claims that these should last a month. We only saw efficacy for about 2 1/2 weeks. Overall, I think it’s a great concept and the ease of set up was the best seller for me!
