it is just ok

does not live up to statements made on the label. I have some one inch long millipede type bugs that swim right through it then say thanks for the cool down.

Easy to use

We purchased this product in hopes of keeping centipedes and black widows out of our home and garage. The insect killer works okay but my suggestion is it needs to be applied once or twice around the outside of your home in order to be effective, especially between nooks and crevices. I used some of it inside my home but used it sparingly since I'm always concerned about chemical contact. The product is probably not as thorough as hiring a pest control company but it's a quick fix.

Once a month does the job

Spray Once a month around the perimeter of the house and around floor edges in kitchen and NO bugs. Pay the extra couple bucks for the wand. It makes application a lot faster and easier.

Ortho

The pump wand would not work. I had to put the Ortho in a Windex bottle to spray it!

On the same day I used this product outside, I still had ants crossing the sprayed area.

Cost-effective home/yard protection

I've been using this product for about 18 months now, spraying my yard and house perimeter about once per month. Does a fine job of keeping the cockroaches our of my house. I REALLY wish Ortho made a refill bottle, so as to avoid wasting the materials and resources on the battery-powered handle/pump. I'm still using the same pump I bought 18 months ago, and have three (new) pumps sitting around in my garage, untouched. REFILL BOTTLES PLEASE!!

Good product! Use it all the time.

Really like Ortho Products. Have used this one in the past and it kills bugs and does a great job preventing them from entering for months after application.

So far...a waste of money

I bought this product to kill roaches that had infested my home and it didn't kill them. Upon calling Ortho, they said the roaches had to pretty ;much EAT the stuff for it to work. The product says that it is GUARANTEED!!! I bought 2 of these half gallon sized containers and the wand broke on one of them. Overall, I am very disappointed in thid product.

Home Defense That Works!!

I would highly recommend Home Defense. Even though the bottle says it will last 12 months I tweak my home, pool, garages and porch since I live in a dense wooded acreage every three month.

It works!

We live in an 92 yr old former synagogue converted into a home. We get spiders, ants and especially centipedes ... ewwww. Im into all natural and organic products in my home. But this is where I draw the line. Thus I only spray outside. You do not need to treat inside and out! Have been using this for years. For 2 days max after spraying we will see bugs but NONE for an entire year after!

Worth it!

This stuff is awesome! I use it every year inside and outside of my home It works extremely well, so well, I cancelled my bug man That came to our house once a month and I am saving 45.00 a month!

Great stuff

Have been using it since the mid 1990's while living in Alabama, Florida and Pennsylvania. Just follow the directions and you will understand why I have been dedicated to this product in so many different locations. I do the entire inside of our 2800 sq. ft. home in less than 30 minutes unless I move furniture.

Get rid of the battery powered spray nozzle

I've used Ortho Home Defense around both the inside and outside of the building. It does keep out the bugs. The product went to the battery powered spray nozzle this year. It doesn't work as well as the old pressure pump spray nozzle. It produces a weak, anemic spray pattern that doesn't get into the cracks and tight spaces very well and the batteries quickly lose their strength. Luckily, I've kept the old pressure pumps from previous purchases and use them instead. Get rid of the battery powere...

So far it works

I have never use it until I moved from chicago to New Mexico, did not have to worry avout bugs. So far it is working, but I have used two gallons so far.and that is just in the back yard
