A True Luxury Experience!

We did a complete renovation of our main level, and installed the U by Moen Shower System as part of the effort. After a few stumbles (the first system was DOA but Moen was AWESOME in getting us a new one so we could install it during the Reno), I got the system registered and working. Oh my! Love the device but the app does not work.

Followed the directions in the app twice through. Shower data appears on the network but you phone continues to inform me that the device is offline. Reinstalled twice.

Not ready for prime time.

Nice when it works, but very difficult to connect to WiFi. Make sure your phone is connected to 2 ghz network or it won’t connect to the controller. Even if you get it to connect, the settings for the shower cannot be done on the controller itself but must be done on your phone, ie- if you cant get the phone to connect you have no way of customizing the controller to your preferences. Who the heck decided to have that limitation when they designed this. Even if you are able to connect your phone...

Works well but it is lacking user functions

Good temperature control, simple control panel. The Moen app however doesn't offer any additional user functions above those found on the panel. It is missing the ability to turn down the backlight on the overly bright display, and the ability to turn off the overly loud chime when the temperature is reached. These are easy features to control via the microcontroller if you plan for it.

Really like the ease of setting up the product. Easy install too.

Had an issue with network connection. Power plug was not fully seated and running on battery. Complete operator error. Service tech caught it right away.

Love the Moen U, Not the Controller

I LOVE my Moen U. Everyone should have one of these! There are minor issues that still need to be worked out . With voice commands, I can only control the shower, not the tub. It should be designed so you can control either. Otherwise, It's awesome. It's so nice to tell Alexa to turn on the shower and the exact temp you want. And I love that I can control it from my phone so I can have a hot bath waiting for me when I walk in the door after working out (I start the tub when I'm 10 mins away f...

Goes Offline

Moen customer service has been excellent and they have replaced necessary parts when they fail. The frustration is the device fails to work properly approximately twice per year requiring a complete factory reset. It may require several factory resets before it finally configures properly.

Would be 5 stars but 115 degree limit is not hot enough for us.

Yep, I bought it and I installed it and I Remodeled my bathroom. Yep I rock. I like the U by Moen almost as much as I like myself. My remodeled bathroom is great. And the U by Moen made me look as good as my wife thinks I am. Yep she thinks I rock too.
