Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
The Minwax Polycrylic Protective Finish provides a clear, durable finish that many customers found easy to apply and dries quickly. However, some users reported issues with the product drying too fast, leading to an uneven finish with visible brush marks or a hazy appearance. Additionally, a number of customers experienced peeling or cracking over time, particularly on surfaces that get wet. The product may work well for certain applications, but may not be suitable for all projects requiring a very smooth, uniform finish.

Would RecommendFirst, I have little experience with finishes for wood. That being said, here are my thoughts. I did a lot of research about sealing my Interior pine ceiling. Some people say it's an absolute must, some say it's not necessary. Some say you must do both sides, some say that's not necessary. There are only 3 real cons to doing it. Cost, time, and finish result. The pros are to minimize moisture and odor absorption, to keep it cleaner looking, as dust and such are less likely to stick to or penetra...

Softness and durability
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used it on my wooden door just to cover scratches it worked great Highly recommended for it’s soft look and durability I like it’s colour too Durable and coverage is great

The less expensive polycrylic gives same result
Would RecommendIt's billed as a single coat. It is a bit thicker than the "double" coat acrylic, but since it really needs a light sanding, you're likely to put a double coat on anyway. Looks fabulous, either way.

I very rarely leave negative reviews but
Would Not RecommendI am super disappointed in this product. Probably should have done more research and that’s my bad…but it looked like it would work for my counters. Got a good quality brush and didn’t shake the product as instructed. My kitchen is tiny and the counter sections are only about 4 feet each. This stuff was drying almost as soon as I applied it. My brush left all sorts of streaks, and if it even slightly touched a section I JUST did it would almost gel up and leave thicker streaks. I wanted so...
