not for butcher block

Don't recommend using this product on butcher block. we did 4 layers, worked beautifully, but once water hit the butcher block it left white marks. Having to take the boards to get planed now at a local woodshop and start over.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an excellent product… if you know how to use it. Compared to the original, this product is THICK. But, it’s meant to be. That way it’s a single coat application. It is also is water based. Thus, avoid a roller and select a CLEAN synthetic bristle brush for a smooth applications that’s not too thick. This will dry FAST, so you have very minimal room for making errors.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To apply the Minwax Polycrylic was very easy. It applies similar to other top coat finishes. Between coats a light sand and good to apply next coat. Two coats was all that was needed.

my new go to poly finish for wood. no odor, dries fast, leaves a clear, smooth finish. MinWax has hit a homerun with this product. Gone are the days of oil based poly with long drying time and long lasting odor. Also, clean-up is easy

Do not buy this! Stick with the original

Like the title states, just keep using the original Polycrylic. This product shows every brush or roller mark. It did not dry crystal clear. I'm not going to have to sand down my entire project and start over from scratch. It reminded me of Mod Podge, except that actually dries clear. Huge disappointment!

Odor is an issue with me. But no problem with this one.

Goes on clear just like regular Polycrylic.

This version of Polycrylic saved me a lot of time since it does not require sanding after application and adding a second coat.
