Would RecommendMinwax fast drying polyurethane in the Warm Ultra Flat finish is the result I’ve been looking for! Gives you that hand rubbed oil finish without all the hard work. As I read other’s reviews it’s clear to me that most issues are user error and the comments should be considered as such. I wish I had found this a long time ago!

Minwax warm Satin not the same as clear satin
Would Not RecommendI have been a long time user of Minwax clear satin polyurethane. When trying to restock my shop, I found clear satin is no longer available. Minwax tells me they now sell warm Satin and that it is the same thing. I am only a two person shop but both of us noticed a difference between the clear and the warm. We have good experience with clear and limited with the warm. We both find warm to be more difficult to work with as it tends to run more and level out less. Net result is more sanding and m...

Deer head live edge coffee table
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My boyfriend used Minwax Polyurethane spray after using another product on a project, and he really noticed the difference. So when it came to my Dearhead Coffee Table project for me, He didn't think twice! The results of the Satin finish brought a low shimmering luster, enhancing the beauty of the walnut

My favorite polyurethane
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I typically use a glossy sheen for polyurethane but for this piece i used satin. I love how smooth the finish is and the almost matte look!

Unhappy with the milky base color
Would Not RecommendI have been buying Minwax polyurethane clear gloss for years, I just bought a new can and opened it and it looks like milk. The worst product I have ever bought. Why is it not clear anymore right out of the can. Terrible product now. Will never buy again.

Works very well..
Would RecommendI have used varied minwax products....from oil to water. Reading comments, I can only think they either put too much on, didn't prep surface, or rushed. Products are durable and have not had any one send a piece back from either the coat or stain failure. Most of the time, letting stuff just dry is a critical component.

Darkens but shines
I am trying to find a finisher to keep the natural color in my cedar. This product make the wood darker as I put it on. It smells so you need fresh air when using it you have to have a cleaner to wash and clean the brushes. It is easy to get runs in the paint - but it flows good. It has a good shine.

Does not setup or harden-don’t waste your floors
Followed instructions and it took 9 days to harden - maybe, kind of, I’m scared to do a second coat. Called Sherwin rep and they came to my home and said the issue is that the house thermostat was set to 68 and I had a window open. The rep from Kingston NY came to my house on the 7th day after applying sand the house was empty the entire time. You cannot make this up. I got extremely frustrated with that nonsense and now have to decide if I’m gonna resand my floors.

This stuff is a nightmare!
Would Not RecommendI am trying to use this on a guitar and that is nothing but a mistake. First off do not try to hang the guitar because this product will run no matter how thin you put it on. Second sometimes it goes on good, sometimes it doesn't. It's very inconsistent. Third if you lay your project flat the polyurethane seems to separate and make it look like orange peel. I am hoping after it cures I'll be able to buff and wax it to make it look some what good. I am super disappointed with this product. I do n...

Runny Garbage Not for use on any vertical surface.
Would Not RecommendWhen applied to a vertical surface (bath vanity) it had to be applied such that it was too thin to sand with 320 grit (instant cut through) or it dripped and ran. Both resulting in wasted DAYS to fix. The instructional video really should NOT show refinishing a night stand as that is most certainly not a proper use of this product. Only seemed to work on horizontal surfaces, also there was nothing "warm" about the gloss. Never using MINWAX anything again because of this product.

Poor performance
Would Not RecommendI used Minwax Fast Drying Polyurethane on a beautiful piece of wood used as a coffee bar. I watched several videos on application before my attempt. After opening the can I stirred it out. There was a thick sludge at the bottom of the can about 3/4” deep. After stirring the sludge into solution. I applied the first coat and after drying it was beautiful. I prepared for the second coat. When stirring I noticed there as not a sludge layer on the bottom of the can. I Continued to stir to the same c...

Satin is glossy - not MATTE
I was under the impression that "satin" means NOT shiny and glossy. However. it is just that. I hope that I can put another layer over this in matte. Otherwise, my Victorian woodwork looks like a table out of Scarface that one might use to partake "stuff" that needs to be on a shiny surface.....
