Having a mighty mule 4 years prior this one is really compact. we had trouble trying to sink the remotes. called mighty mule Got lucky an got a tech. when we tried closing the gate it was noisy. the tech gave us instruction on removing the cover(the tech watched from our telephone) found a nut not properly installed. we secure the nut per tech instruction and everything works great. I known this a better unit than my old one!

Would Not Recommendwell i am now having issues with another junky mighty mule gate opener. Fifth one in 10 years. It is still under warranty. but mighty mule wants me to take it all apart and ship it to them. Before they will send me a new one. That means my elderly parents are going to be with out a gate for months. While they review there junky parts before sending me a new one under warranty. Buy a different brand there are far better openers out there.

I have had it for a year and never a problem opening a 12 ft gate,also added the lock which has worked great. The 10 watt solar panel has maintained the battery.

Would RecommendWe love this gate as well as does the rest of the family. FOB works as far as 400' away easily. Got the 10 watt solar charger and have never had to charge the battery. The gate is opened and close AT LEAST 10 times per day if not more. It works a 10' metal gate. Works so well my brother next door got one also. After his install was done we noticed my gate kept opening by it's self, it was his fob that was working it at over 400' away. Changed the code and all is good. Great product!
