Terrible Third Rack

We just purchased a home that has this model dishwasher. My biggest complaint is the third rack. It only holds 5 place setting of silverware. I have owned two other dishwashers with third racks that hold much more silverware. Isn’t that the whole point of a third rack?? I am hoping you have a redesigned third rack that I could purchase from you, otherwise I am sad to say that the entire dishwasher will be replaced. Kind of sad for a 3 year old dishwasher! Please help me find a solution!!

Blinking lights

We’ve had this for almost a year. A couple months ago it started making a loud noise and then would quiet down and run fine. Well it finally crapped out. We go to run it and it blinks and makes a sound. The rinse button starts blinking. Which said it was the inlet valve. It’s been taken apart and we just can’t figure it what’s wrong with it. So frustrating cause I loved This dishwasher. We will probably have to warranty it out and get a new appliance!

Rusting Parts

I bought the dishwasher in 2021 and in the past year and parts of the dish rack have been rusting off.

Performs well, hard to find parts

We've had this dishwasher for 2 years. It performs very well and we're generally happy with it. I've had to do a repair once when a hose got brittle and started to leak. I now need to replace the middle spray arm but I cannot find the part online.

Love the led lights!

We bought this dishwasher about a month ago and we are so happy we gave it a try. We replaced our dishwasher of 18 years that was top of the line back then and the Midea dishwasher makes that one look silly. It washes and completely drys everything wonderfully. It is very functional, love the third rack and led lighting inside. Also, we can barely hear it run. For now, we would definitely purchase again.

Do not recommend

The biggest problem with this dishwasher is the plastic levers to lift the middle rack to a higher position. They ALWAYS FALL OFF and it drops the middle rack back to its normal position while pulling it out or pushing it back in. I’m surprised my glasses haven’t shattered when this happens. When the middle rack is lowered you can’t put larger items in the bottom because the water sprayers can’t turn and function. Unless you use the extended dry cycle, it doesn’t dry well.

Dishes are always perfectly clean every time. I love the 3rd rack. easy to clean filter. Best dishwasher I've ever had. Not really well made. But about 2 years with no problems. I'm very satisfied 😌

We bought the Midea dishwasher 5/2021 .. Love how it washes and cleans my dishes .. but after 1 year the racks started rusting.. is there anyway Midea will replace my rusting racks …

Very quiet. Poorly designed racks.

Very quiet. Otherwise, not thrilled. I've used dishwashers for 50+ years. This unit has very illogical racks. Yes, some tines go down. Spacing between rack rows are so large, even lids fall threw. If you look at Midea pictures, they show dish after dish...nothing to do with flexibility of pots, pans, or baking casseroles. After 2 weeks, I told the sales rep...this is made for someone who does NOT cook. The TOP rack has some tines that lay down. The adjustable top rack adjusts way up or way d...

Not built to last longer than the warranty

They used cheap plastic on the top rack wheels that completely degraded and crumbled with use. See pictures. Other plastic parts inside degraded, and I had to use zip ties to keep it functional. It took 2 years to see the results. Also the internal filter gets blocked too easy, the machine can't handle particles like cucumber seeds very well and gets blocked easily including the sprayer arms. The hard part is the arms are mostly sealed and are very difficult to remove debris from.

I would be better if...

Dishwasher is very quiet and gets the dishes clean. I love the light inside! Makes loading and unloading easier. Has nice hidden controls and delay settings. BUT I absolutely HATE the racks! They are weirdly laid out and not very useful. The utensil rack has all these prongs in case you want to lay your silverware up there instead of using the basket. NOBODY has time for that! Because of those prongs your utensils don't lay nicely or all fit. The top rack is roomy but it too is strangely...

Not a fan.

I bought this 8 months ago. The racks are already rusting. The bottom rack doesn’t open and close properly and constantly comes off the track.

STILL DECIDING

Really more like 3.5. It is so quiet! Seems to be built and finished well. Love all the jets and 3rd rack. But still not getting all of the dishes completely clean. And it stinks! Hoping its the "new" smell and it will fade. Cleans better than the Frigidaire but still not as good as Kitchenaid--as if yet
