Pure GARBAGE

Midea customer service, or lack there of, IS HORRIBLE!!! After less than 7 months the unit failed! The technician said that this was not the first one that he's seen. There is apparently a new coolant that is being used, and when it leaks, it's gone! The coolant is a new coolant that is green friendly! GARBAGE!!!! On top of everything else, I lost a freezer full of meat and other items...NO REFUND FOR FREEZER LOSS! There is no reimbursing for my loss, and there is no way to get the piece of GAR...

Fails after 7 months, Midea doesn't honor warranty

This unit failed after 7 months of use. Likely coolant leak, evidently a common problem. Midea US support is based offshore (Belize). They are very slow to respond, and mainly appear to be fishing for a pretext to deny warranty coverage, rather than to help the customer resolve the problem. I finally after many days without a fridge, did some minor troubleshooting to try to expedite a solution (disconnecting and testing the DC fan that was not spinning). Cycles between freezing and warm every few hours

The refrigerator has three modes: cold, colder, and coldest. Cold is 50°-60° F, way too warm. Colder is 30°-50°, freezes and thaws food over and over throughout the day. Coldest is 25°-35°, barely freezes food. It worked well for a few months before these wild temperature swings, so it is way past the return window.

The freezer model number MRU14F2AWW Is the worst! Freezes on the bottom thaws stuff on the top! We’ve had freezer 3yrs when it started acting up. We tried all of the suggestions the help desk offered and it would get a little better but by 4yrs it stopped freezing completely. Another friend has the exact same freezer and theirs did the exact same thing, freezing on the bottom shelves and not the top! Save yourself frustration and money, don’t buy this brand!

Quit right after two years

Had it for two years and three weeks and it just quit getting cold. There is no error code wasn't when showing high temp on the digital panel. Contacted midea who sent me an email to send in my info and photos. That was 5 days ago and haven't heard a word since. I had to make hard decisions on what food to keep and what had to be thrown away. Newest appliance we have and quit. I wouldn't recommendation this brand even to my worst enemy. It would be too cruel.

Quiet running freezer.

We have now had our media upright freezer for just a little over two years, it is. Very quiet and very good quality, the media line of products seems to be high quality at a very reasonable price...

These die like Canaries in a Coal Mine

Mine is 24 months old. It quit. The circuit board is just complicated enough that it is NOT serviceable by a home owner. These are the lowest quality Thai/Chinese appliances that are available.

Piece of garbage

This sub standard piece of garbage lasted until the warranty ran out. The compressor blew and is not worth fixing. I am furious and will NEVER but anything else Lowes brand. Run from their cheaply made products. What a huge waste of money!

Stopped working at one year

Freezer Failed in less than a year

I purchased this freezer in August 2024. It no longer freezes or cools as of July 1, 2025. I lost over $1K in meats in this freezer. I would not recommend.

Expensive piece of junk

I am very disappointed. We have had this unit about 4 years and the front panel is delaminating from the door and the door keeps popping open. Now we are getting over heating alerts and I am scared it isn't going to last much longer. I cannot risk buying another half a steer and filling it up with how it is acting! This unit costs entirely too much to not last.

DO NOT BUY

DO NOT BUY! I bought this appliance on April 11, 2024. As of a week ago, June, 2025, it quit working. I got 14 months out of this piece of junk. I lost all contents. You will be wasting your money.

Nice freezer

Very nicer freezer. Love the imside and ability to control the temp on the door. Very bright interior.

Just stopped working

Bought in December and it just stopped working out of nowhere. Lost close to $1k worth of meat and food. And all they’re willing to do is send someone for a warranty check. This freezer just needs removed if not going to be covered better. Only lasted 5 months.

Died in under three months

We purchased this freezer less than three months ago, and it has already failed. It is plugged in and the electronics are working, but it is no longer keeping food frozen. We've lost a good deal of food.

Great freezer

I love this freezer !!! Perfect size. Lots of room. Shelves on the door for more storage. It’s frost free!! Works great
