Not working

quit working after one year and manufacture gives you the hardest time possible for repairs. warranty requires original receipt and Lowe's online receipt will not work for them

Midea Garage ready Freezer/Refrierator

we have had this in Freezer mode and after 18 months, it has stopped working. Trying to get Midea to live up to their 2 year Parts & Labor warranty.

bad product

o purchased this freezer 6/24. it has a 2 year warranty, the compressor failed 21 months in. I'm currently dealing with midea. they have rejected the claim. starting the receipt is blurred. I will never buy from this manufacturer again. and will tell anyone who will listen what a horrible product they produce.

Today is 3/29/26 &freezer DIED

This freezer is kept in the basement with controlled temps, was never unplugged and owned by 2 senior citizens. Came home today from a 4 day trip to a wretched smell as we walked in. Didn't last

This unit was never outside ever, it has always been in my garage. Budget Friendly and Great Operationally

Bought this to replace a chest freezer and allow my wife to see what it in the freezer and actually use stuff in it. This thing has checked that box and then some. It vacuum seals when you close the door, so even if you cut the power to it for 48 hours everything stays at temp for the entire 48 hours. Temp starts to drop noticeably after 52-60 hours. So this thing is well worth any setup.

Upright freezer

We purchased the upright last year and we purchased a chest freezer the year before. We are without power - on day 6 and the upright still has frozen food in it while the chest freezer has soft everything and melted ice cream. We have never used the refrigerator option but the freezer is great!

18 month life

This freezer/refrigerator stopped cooling after just 18 months. Contacted Midea to file a warranty claim, but was informed their warranty was only for one year. They've since extended their warranty to two years, but that doesn't apply to / help us.

Not Worth The Price

When I first made this purchase, I was unfamiliar with this brand, but decided to give it a try. This thing is a beast. I love it.

Unit quit conveniently 6 months after manufacture warranty expired. So spent $800.00 for 2 and a half years of use, ridiculous. Got to throw out a bunch of spoiled food. Zero stars if I could.

Insane energy draw, awful warranty service

I bought this freezer in January and noticed an immediate and shocking increase in energy use, which can only be explained by this unit. I contacted warranty service, and they told me that the product was not, in fact, defective, even though it's drawing roughly 10x what its ENERGY STAR rating promises. Despite multiple escalations, the company has refused to do so much as investigate the issue. I would not recommend this unit to ANYONE under any circumstances. I will be finding a different free...

2 year

After 2 years the board went out. Now having a hard time with warranty getting a dependable company to do the repair. I have had the part at my house now for over a week. DO not let them send out CV Flash and appliance to your house. The lie and are not reliable.

Not Happy

Used this freezer for 2 years and 4 months. Out of the blue, It stopped freezing. Lost hundreds of dollars worth of food. Called Midea CS and was told it was not under any warranty, but if it was the compressor, to let them know, that may be covered. Was given a case # and a bye-bye. We had a technician come out to look and we were told it was out of refrigerant due to a leak and they were not certified to fix. Adequate

This is a perfectly adequate freezer for our household. We have had it for over three years now and have had no problems. Things to be aware of: It is huge. I don't have a basement or garage, so it is in the dining area. In there, it is a monstrosity. My 73 year old mother has a hard time opening it. If you do open it, close it, and then immediately try to reopen it, it isn't happening. This freezer is probably not for a smaller space.

Broke

Just over 1 year old and its broke....lost all the food inside....bought the protection plan and no one can repair it and the 300 dollar food loss doesn't apply because they refunded us what we paid since it couldn't be fixed.
