What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this lock box for its ease of setup, reliability, and weather-resistant durability. Most appreciate the intuitive programming process and ability to use any digit combination without specific sequence requirements. Many find it sturdy and practical for storing spare keys across multiple properties. However, some note the lock accepts any permutation of entered digits, reducing security against determined intruders. A few report the closing mechanism requires re-entering codes, which feels cumbersome. Despite minor limitations, most customers consider it a worthwhile, convenient solution for everyday key storage needs.

Great lock box for contractor access
Would RecommendWe recently sold our house and had to have some work done on it after we moved out. The Master Lock pushbutton lock box made it easy for me to give various contractors the code so they could access the house to do the work. It was easy to set up the code and can be changed periodically when needed.

DELIVERED AS ADVERTIZED
Would RecommendI own two of these units; both for homes in remodel phases. The lock box offers safety, security, and convenience for both home owner and contractors. It's easy to set up in minutes. The rugged weatherproof box and cover were definite selling points. The Master Lock reputation for quality and fair price definitely made the sale.

Not secure
Would Not RecommendRegardless of the combination that is input, any combination of those numbers can unlock it. (Example...0285, 8025, or 5028 will all unlock it)

Just what I needed
Would RecommendEasy to operate. Safe and secure.
Anyone can open without code
Would Not RecommendThe order of the combination to open this lock does not matter. So if your code is 7856 they can type in any combination of those numbers and it will open. Anyone with enough time could very easily randomly press buttons and get it opened. Have had 2 stolen off of doors before the code was ever given to anyone! Not in any way safe. Once you open the box, all you have to do is pull a lever inside to release the shackle. Do not buy this lock. Get a turning combo lock or one that requires the code ...
This device meets my needs nicely.
Would RecommendThe product is simple but effective. Easy to program and works as described.
Hate It
Would Not RecommendTried to set security code to open lock and now it won't open. Plan to return for another type that works.
I am very happy with Master lock box. Jim Streng (note - I am a small Lowes stock holder)
Be Very Careful
Would RecommendI bought three of these. They are simple to use once you see how. One if them I could not open and now must return to the store and turn it back. Someone had opened it in the store and put a combination on it!
Master Lock Combination Lock Safe
Would RecommendNeeded a lock box because doing home remodeling and would be living in a hotel. Didn't want to have to sit in the house all day waiting on the contractors.
Not a secure lock, due to
Would Not RecommendMechanical locks typically aren't very secure, but figuring out which keys are part of the combination, and which aren't, on this lock is quite easy. The instructions need to provide advice on picking a good length combination, considering the order doesn't matter. Being able to use the point / star keys for the combination help a lot, and the fact somebody guessing wouldn't know if 3, 4, 5, 6, etc length is used. However, the mechanics of the lock allow the selected keys to be determined read...
