Easy to use, good coverage, prep walls first

I had wanted to try the Magnolia paint live and this was a good starting place. My son wanted a chalkboard wall so we taped off a section and used this paint. It went on fairly well with good coverage. I did use 2 coats. The wall was rough...I probably should have sanded or primed first. And you need to follow the directions with proper drying time.

Smooth and Beautiful Coverage

I was pleasantly surprised at the ease of this chalkboard paint! But knowing it was a Joanna Gaines product I should have never second guessed. It was easy, simple and covered beautifully! Would highly recommend this paint.

Not the color I expected

I used this product to paint my house shutters. It went on smooth and easy. I used two coats. However, it wasn’t the exact color I was hoping for. In the photos and looking at the can, the color looks to be more grey-green-blue. My shutters turned out way more blue than I had wanted but they still look okay.

High quality chalkboard spray paint

A premium brand chalkboard spray paint by Kilz and the Magnolia Home brand by Joanna (and Chip) Gaines from the TV show. Easy to spray on, and is ideally glazed.over afterwards by the clear glaze wax in a can. This product may come in a kit with both paint and wax, or they may come separate. I want to make a chalkboard for my kids with this paint, and will update the review if possible with results. I'm worried that the chalk will stick too well or stain the paint without the wax glaze, but if ...

The better choice for rattle can paint

Better than average rattle can paint - good flow and pattern from the nozzle, it’s large size makes it easy to control. Great coverage with the paint, dries quick and has a nice semi gloss finish.

Super nice, works really well.

Really like this paint! Sprays clean and smooth and has a very nice look it! I used it to refinish an old hitch to transform it into a kitchen pantry. I did a piece previously with regular paint and I have ti say this one came out much nicer. Easy enough to use and turned out better than I’d hoped.

Great for our furniture projects.

Never used this before until now , and I have to say, me and my wife absolutely love this as we use it on furniture that we restore or make look rustic and country farm styles. It's easy to apply and then easily allows you to scrape off places to make it look oldish. It doesn't take long to dry, isn't runny and don't have a bad chemical order as other paint. We are going to be buying this for now on for all our projects.

Beautiful deep black

I honestly wasn’t so sure about the black but it is absolutely stunning. It’s hard to find good coverage that isn’t thick when it comes to dark colors but this paint, not surprisingly, delivered on its promise.

Easy to apply for a great finish

This is a quality chalk paint that is easy to apply. The spray is consistent, even pattern with no globs or heavy spots. The paint dries quickly and it is easy to apply quick, light coats. The result is the same color and finish as the cap. Highly recommend it.

Joanna Gaines Matte Blackboard Chalky paint

I used this in a room for the kids on the wall. This way they could use it as a chalk board. It ha worked great. I would recommend this to all parents with kids. It was easy to use.

Pretty good

Nice little addition to my project was easy to use and didn't run like most sprays and the cleanup was fairly easy too and the fumes were low which is always a good thing.

Excellent quality spray paint and true to color.

I used this spray paint to go over the same color brushed onto 1x6 pine boards that I plan to use as flooring. The spray evens out the color and covers brush marks very well. It was easy to use and covered evenly with one or two passes. No drips, runs, or puddles. Minimal odor. I use this technique on a lot of projects as a finishing touch.

Nice Color

I'm excited to try this product but unfortunately mine arrived missing the spray nozzle! I can say I really like the color - I have a gallon of the same exact color in satin (also KILZ) that I used to paint a small wooden table, and found the color very nice. It's more of a teal in person - more notes of blue than I was expecting but still very nice. This is a great compliment to the gallon paint if you need to reach the small nooks and crannies on a piece of furniture, so I'd recommend getting ...

Stunning color!

What color is Duke gray you might ask? Well it’s a darker deep gray with soft blue undertones. It goes on smooth and has a high gloss finish. I appreciate that the cap is easy to remove and I don’t need a screwdriver and 100 lbs of torque like many spray paint cans. The spray nozzle is larger and comfortable for an index finger plus coverage on this product is excellent. The Duke Gray is beautiful in the sunlight and will be a great addition to my garden. Magnolia Brand Spray Paint for the Win!

This spray paint is a very nice shade of grey. I used this on my plant stand. I am very happy with the outcome. I would buy this brand again for my next project.

Good quality spay paint

Yes, what can be special about a can with spray paint? No, I'm not in to graffiti, a common use pf spay paint. I was a little curious what could be so special about this paint. I decided to try it on my old van. The van is full of rust and places there the paint just have been worn out. First, it comes on very even, which is good.
